Oh my - the last day of May ... with tons to be grateful for including, but not limited to:

-Excellent dental/periodontal care available to me
-Working from home after dental appointment close to my house
-Sunshine and no rain! Woo hoo!!
-Cracking up at GBoomer getting "caught" using his clicker training! Ha!
-Total understanding about Rebecca thinking she'd lost Kiowa; I have three cats who love to disappear when they feel like it!!! Still don't know all their hiding spots!
-So much extra kitty time today working from home; they love just hanging out with me and I can just reach over or down and pet them (relaxed working environment)

On this last day of May my many gratitudes include:

-Bouquet of Iris, planted by my mother decades ago, reminding me of her loving appreciation for beauty
-My domain successfully moved and email reconfigured on computer and phone
-Visit with old friends and being okay excusing myself when I had hung out as long as I wanted
-Finding Kiowa after I feared I lost her while she was left in my charge
-Small steps adding up to significant growth

Here is to finishing May with a smile and finding joy in June.
JUNE 2019 Appreciations will be ready to welcome all contributions tomorrow.

Today I'm grateful for:

-Another solid night of sleep (when I finally went to bed), despite bad storms
-Not losing power and not having to take cover (too close for comfort)
-Friends in very nearby tornado zones (kept me glued to the TV late) all OK
-My sister texting to make sure I was aware of the tornadoes (go figure, she's on vacation in Maine - LOL)
-My sweet kitties; they sense my moods/upsets, so when I stayed calm, despite the horrid emergency noises on the TV, they chilled out with me

-Going back to sleep easily when I woke up when the power went out, and most importantly, the power coming back on pretty quickly

-Dear friends not seen in far too long (elderly parents with Alzheimers) inviting me to their house for dinner tomorrow night

This morning I'm grateful for:

-GBoomer's impressive work at the shelter - love the pics!!
-Ornery co-workers (not that I'm ornery or anything); we have fun at work
-Having a nice little chat in kitty talk with Cassie this morning
-Sweet Cleo, she'd been missing after breakfast, but came running when I called her to say goodbye (impressive, not many cats come when called)
-Miss Personality, Rosie, who sometimes just has that "look of love" in her eyes when you're petting her
-Making my favorite Crustless Spinach & Onion Quiche, a SP recipe I made even healthier using whole wheat flour
-Cassie and Rosie both loving spinach and lettuce of all types - it's hilarious - they literally stand in the kitchen and BEG!

Today I'm grateful for:

-A halt, albeit temporary, to the rain that's been causing flooding
-Work now being reasonable enough that I can return to visiting the standing work stations they have set up two flights down the stairs
-Getting in 10,000+ steps yesterday because I walked in place at the standing station (any movement of any type is better than none)
-Having options
-Lower sugar consumption = lower number on the scale
-Cooking earlier this week making meal prep so much easier

On this May Day my appreciations include:
-Fun afternoon with R and finishing lots of knots
-Promising news from M
-Thoughtful interactions with other Spark People with special thanks to GBoomer and Stephanie...precious company
-Blossoms out in the sunshine looking robust after snow
-Properly bundling for musical KJ walk
-R admitting to feeling a little sorry for me when he saw me coming back from walk with no dog...maybe he will let Kiowa walk with me eventually and relax his overprotective dog Dad role, which is good mostly
