I agree too! I am much more aware of my choices now. I stop and think about whether or not I really want what I am about to eat. Often times the answer is no! It has taken a long time to learn this particular lesson.

I also agree, remembering it is often a winding path to get there. But my question before eating something now is "Does it taste good enough to use the calories on it?" And "will it contribute to my physical and mental health?"

I agree so much! Replacing old habits with new, healthy habits is the way to go. I have realized that I don't want to be overweight any more!

I absolutely agree with replacing old less healthy choices with healthy ones is the best strategy.

Slow is okay. That will help those newly developing habits to last a lifetime.

I realize it came down to wanting to feel/be/look healthy more than I wanted to eat with wild abandonment. New habits are replacing the former ones...slow but sure.
