Thank you everyone! I knew I could count on sparkpeople. I have decided to start out with eating more fruits and veggies and getting in a 2 miles walk in the mornings which I did today very happy to report. Had some sugar but not going to beat myself up! Now going to track and did finally weigh myself and I was spot on but not going to let 220 pounds again get me down. I am a fighter and slow changes over the long run will get me back to where I was a year ago.
So thank you, thank you, thank you!
Sparkcheers!
Also going to start blogging again as that has helped in the past!

It sounds like you're off to a great start! I'm sorry about your bursitis. Maybe you'll need to focus on your diet, and lose some weight, before you can exercise more comfortably. You might like using a pool, to take the weight off, or low-impact exercise like an exercise bike.

Yes, it is a great start by tracking your food.

Remember, do NOT make a lot of changes all at once. Only change one or two things at a time, and allow your mind/body to get used to them before you add something else to the mix. That way you kinda trick your mind/body into thinking that it has always been like that, so it makes it a lot easier for the rest of your life.

You might also find that rather than following a specific type of diet, i.e. Keto; Low Carb (as opposed to Keto) or any other type, it needs to be a way that you enjoy and that you can easily continue with.

I find that I am best with the middle of the road, and eat whatever I like, and pretty much when I like, but pay attention to amount. I also tend to love my fruit/veges and that is the mainstay of my diet, along with lean some lean protein, healthy fats and whole-grains. I also give myself permission to eat a lot more than my usual calories, on occasion. When I was in weight-loss mode I allowed for this once every two weeks, but I often found that I could go 3 or 4 weeks and sometimes more without having my 'blow-out'. Even tho' I have been maintaining for a few years, I still practice this.

To accommodate this, I eat a wee bit under my upper calorie limit nearly all the time, and have only ever gone under 1350 calories a couple times in the 11+ years I have been on SP.

If you aren't weighing your food, I suggest that you do so for increased accuracy.

You can do this. You just have to have faith in yourself and don't have big expectations for a quick loss because they often lead to a big(ger) gain.

Good luck,
Kris

That was a great restart by tracking your food today. It takes one small step at a time. You can do it!

Been gone from SP for a year almost to the day and been on quite the journey, Keto, WW and now nothing but eating frenzy!
I haven't weighed myself for a month and will after this time of the month passes for me but kind of scared (over 200 again!!!!!!).
Been under quite a bit of stress (won't write about it as that just causes more stress lol).
Did track today my food, going to clean up my house right now but have a cold and coupled with time of the month not feeling up to a walk which I have gotten out of the daily habit due to bursitis in my bursa (say that five times fast I dare you!:)).
So looking for some support as I restart anew November 2018!
Thanks ahead.
It's so funny but God is always at work. Last night I cancelled my WW account and was requesting a refund due to a medical condition and today I got the good news they are refunding me 100 dollars and then for the first time in a year someone gives me a sparkgoodie. I see this as a sign and am already happy to be back.
Sparkcheers!
