I found this image from 2009 when I was 23 and did bikini bodybuilding. I never competed, but I followed the workouts and lifted more than most women ever think of doing. I also biked 20 miles 2-3 days/week and ran 5 miles 2-3 days/week. Nursing school and moving to Tennessee 700 miles away from my family caused quite a bit of weight gain over the years. I managed to keep myself between 150-170 until last year when I gained 30 pounds in a matter of 6 months. I kept trying to do cardio until I finally realized what it was that got me to 134 pounds back in 2009. Strength training!!! So we're now doing kettlebell and resistance workouts for strength as well as trying to get my running back up.
