Didn't buy any Chocolate bunnies.... ate one Cadbury Caramel egg and thoroughly enjoyed it....don't like Jelly Beans. Life is good--LOL!!

I actually started on my Journey when I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes some 10 years ago. Worked with a dietician and went from 170lbs down to about 140...have kept 25lbs off since then, and haven't converted to a Type 2 diagnosis.... My goal was changed to get down to 130 when my Doc diagnosed arthritis about 2 yrs ago (hip, SI joint, feet, now neck...and likely both knees...!) I'm still working on that...up/down between 139 and 133... but Medical issues are *strong* motivation to focus on positive changes!!

I think that's the key in this whole Journey---What is your motivation?

By the way---great job on the PizzaPrevention! You have found a strategy that works for you, just as I have! All the best,
patti

Wow, you didn't want any chocolate bunnies, Cadbury eggs, jelly beans, or X? Lucky!

May I ask how long you've been at it with your new eating habits? tx

For the first time in a long time, I felt a big urge to get pizza at Costco after finding out that a vertical shed I had been planning to buy, one they carry only temporarily, was sold out. I worry a lot over buying things for my house. Once again, I thought about my dinner (lemon sauce on fish). I almost caved when I tried to handle the issue of undelivered mail with yet another supervisor who knew nothing about the problem. But no pizza- the fish is cooking now!

I had some of everything I wanted so I didn't feel deprived or restricted emoticon patti

Patti, if those reasons are strong enough to keep you on your program, good for you. Did they work yesterday?

Today I have a great dinner planned. If I overeat before that, I won't enjoy it as much.

To me, this thought is presented in a slightly twisted negative way....
I'd rather focus on *positive* REASONS TO EAT!!

Eating is how I get the veggies I need...
that's how I'm not overly hungry and dive into the snacks...
that's how I get my protein to keep my muscles working well, and my healthy fats to keep my body tuned up....
Eating is good for me if I make thoughtful choices!! "Excuses" don't fit into my Journey very well.... just my thinking....

I don't think I have any "Excuses NOT to overeat "

I have reasons to no overeat.

It's an overeater's habit to look for excuses to eat more. What excuses will you look for NOT to overeat?

Today, mine will be that I'm going to want to have extras this weekend, so I don't want to overload myself now.
