@GREENEYESKIGIRL
Some things I did that helped when I was very depressed about having stage 4 cancer:

-- looked for funny movies or your favorite standup comediennes. Listen to a funny audio book -- for some reason I found the Jeeves books hilarious then.
-- I loved going to fabric stores -- the colors and textures fed my soul
-- Find a tiny project and do it. For me, it was mindlessly crocheting afghans with a simple stitch. The crocheting kept me seated and resting; the feeling of completing something was uplifting.
-- Promise yourself to not do things that will make the situation worse -- don't binge on junk food.

There is no such thing as the final success in life. What is really meaningful is the courage to face the next minute, the next hour, the next day.

Which is why talking to a professional would be so beneficial for you!
Please consider it.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your mom and the surrounding family situation with your brothers sound tough.

I am super glad you exercised today! It can work wonders for your physical and mental health.

SInce you are dealing with some emotional issues, perhaps you can meet with a mental health counselor to help work through some things? There is no shame in getting help from one and they maybe able to provide better insight than we can.
