Yes I need to give away some clothes too. The best is swimsuits that are too big. Unfortunately at age 71 I have some loose skin as proof of my weight loss.

One tangible thing I have is a January 2007 photo of me on the banks of the Jordan river on he Israeli side. I was at my heaviest at that point but I didn't know it. That December, I started my healthy journey and lost 80 pounds.

The photo stands as a reminder of where I don't want to be again. I have regained 40 pounds; I have been moaning about that for several years but can't get it off. Thankfully, I seem to be in a holding pattern and not gaining.

It's taken me nearly a year to double that weight, so don't lose hope! You will soon be feeling the awesome sensation of your weights being TOO LIGHT!

Way To GO with those weights!!
There might be hope for me still...LOL ! This past week I had pulled my hand weights out of the closet again...a 5lb fly was a bit much. Definitely time to get back at it while the winter weather keeps me off of my road bike.

I had a similar experience of having to donate clothes that were too big. I even have colleagues telling me not to wear certain pants anymore, because they just don't look good. That's always nice, but now I am short on work clothes! LOL

I also track my progress by the increase in weights I'm able to push / lift / squat etc. When I started in Nov last year, I couldn't shoulder press more than 10kg (with both arms...) and had severe pain in my right shoulder. This morning I did 20kg with relative ease, good form and no pain. What a joy!

It had been awhile (!) since I'd done any sorting and donating. I discovered I was hanging on to older clothes that REALLY were too large now...by like several sizes and not worn for several years...!

Its an amazing motivator to have a tangible and visual piece of how far you've actually come---rather like looking back down a trail you've climbed, only to see where you started far away and down below... I really want to get to do that again...so this will keep me just a bit more focused into the coming winter months!!
It was incredibly "freeing" to donate those clothes....

What was your last Tangible/Visual evidence of your Journey??
