Have you tried the Plateau Busting challenge? I know you haven't said you're at a plateau, but the challenge gave me so many ideas for changing things up a bit.

There is no such thing as the final success in life. What is really meaningful is the courage to face the next minute, the next hour, the next day.

Excuses are just lists of situations that you need to learn how to deal with/work around. You don't need motivation, you simply need to find alternative solutions to the situation.

So if you "don't have enough time to make a healthy dinner," start by looking at what you are spending your time on instead. If you are getting stuck in traffic or don't have a lot of time between jobs one and two, that's one thing. If you are spending two hours on Facebook, that's another. Yes, you do want to plan in some chill time, but you still have to get things done. One solution is to buy dinner premade. The grocery store has salads, sushi, soup, rotisserie chicken and other options for a quick, throw together dinner. For a cheaper alternative you can prep some of these things ahead at home. Then there are frozen dinners. Another solution is to find a quicker cooking dinner (eggs, veg and toast instead of making a casserole for example). You could also try crock pot meals. Perhaps there is someone that you could have dinner with and trade off making dinner.

The other thing that I find to be helpful is a change of phrasing. Instead of "I can't because of" try saying that the option that you choose is "more of a priority than" the option that you are making excuses for. So sitting on the couch watching tv is more of a priority right now than going for a walk. Sometimes the choices that you are making aren't pleasant, but accept them as the choices you are making. Because if walking were more of a priority than the tv then you would be out walking.

-google first. ask questions later.

One step at a time.

Sometimes, we need to pause and look back to remind ourselves why we need to move forward.

Eventually, the excuses melt away.

What's preventing you from eating right and exercising? Has there been a traumatic change in your life?

One stumble does not a failure make.

I’m needing motivation to stay on track I keep falling off the train and I’m sick of doing that I’m made such great progress I don’t want to go back wards I’ve already lost almost 40 pounds and it’s been hard as hell to get there.
