I just started a new streak. I am starting over so I am starting right. Ten minutes a day for ten days. That is where I am and so that is where I well start. Day one is done.
I was doing it all wrong thinking I could just pick up where I left off. But the thing is I didn't start out of the gate walking 3+ miles a day, I had to build up to it. All or nothing is not obtainable for me because it is not realistic or healthy.
I am human and there will be days when I will be down or ill. My goal is to do what I can and push through the obstacles when I can and as much as I can. emoticon

Your glass is not half empty; it is half full. Every time I tried and failed, every 1 step back for 2 steps forward-- brought me to where I am today. And I learned a lot. I daresay I've learned the most, when the lesson was harder.

Edison did not succeed at making a light bulb that worked, the first time he tried. Dozens and dozens of failures-- the key is, he learned something from every single failure.

The best thing is-- you know what worked for you, and you also know why you experienced a failure. You had a success in the past, and you can use those tools, and add to those tools-- to experience success again!

I have been away so long I feel as though I'm starting all over. Back when I first joined Sparkpeople I was determined and having the time of my life. Everything about this site was fun and everything I needed to get healthy. I wasn't seeing the scale change fast but the way I saw the scale changed drastically. It became a tool rather than a source of self hate and doubt.
Just by walking 2.5/3 miles a day @ 6 days a week I created a whole new me. Walking led to more water that led to less sugar cravings and other changes as well. The best part was I felt amazing. I was fighting migraine headaches and depression and winning!
That December I was approached by a multilevel marketing individual involved in a company which I do adore but things started to change. I still mostly walked and that was a staple, or the foundation in my new active lifestyle. But I was really only sought out to become part of that team for monetary reasons. Then the following March I was approached by my sister in law with the same interests but with a different company. I felt so much pressure to "join" and the loyal side of me didn't know which way to stay. I went with the family and signed up in the "business" and started taking supplements to "aid in weight loss" and "cleanse". (I had went from 158 to 140 on my own. What was I thinking?) It messed my wallet up, my mental and emotional health were spent because of the stress. But it messed my whole digestive system up so bad it just within this year got back to normal.
I lost focus and soon my motivation just left all together. I try so hard. I am admitting failure on this day. I know why I failed. I let others own interests interfere with my WHY. I am here in hopes of reigniting the spark I had in the beginning when I was just moving because I loved it. I gave myself a chance to change. It was healthy. It was right. I am now the same weight when I started. No one's fault but mine. I will rise up. I will take the steps. I can I will I must.
(I still love the other company but just for the awesome workouts. I have more muscles than I did at the beginning so I still made progress. I'm just back to spark something awesome)
