We don't eat out a lot when we go. We rent a house and I prepare our meals which helps a lot. Don't beat yourself up. You did great!

still up a bit from returning, but only a pound, so am happy with that. Will get back on track this week, with exercising more regularly and eating better(will try, having some budget limitations since returning, so my pantry and freezer are not exactly health-friendly right now...

Don't be too hard on yourself! I once went on vacation, it was 4 days, maybe, and between altitude, sodium intake and a few other things, by body retained a ton of water. So much so that loose clothing was tight. After getting home and regulating, two days later the weight was gone.

we returned yesterday and unfortunately I didn't get any exercise yesterday, but we did do a lot of walking on Thurs and Fri, plus played mini-gold on Friday, we also played in pool, so I swam a couple of laps and logged in all of that the best I could. I am a little up in weight today, but I think I know why.. will check back again on Monday and see if it changes.

I FINALLY remembered my password for this site and was able to download the app on my phone so I can at least partially keep track and DEFINITELY keep track of my exercise. Thanks for all the advice. :)

Try to think about portion control. Share entrees with your companions. Cut entrees in half and box up the other half immediately. Have salads rather than soups. Little things will help. Order the foods you are interested in but stay mindful of how much you eat.

Pay attention to how you eat now, before you go, and try to eat the same. Try to be mindful, make the healthiest choices possible. Grilled foods, no buttery sauces, fruits and veggies.

Will you have any sort of smart phone available? I have used mine to connect to SP and keep logged into my calorie counter that way.

I will say this, having just returned from vacation: it IS difficult to know how to count certain foods/dishes. For example: "Duck crepe w/figs" LOL My point here is you must find a way to balance your need to stay on track with your need to enjoy special foods that you just won't find in your day-to-day life (trust me; I do NOT cook "Duck crepe w/figs!"). Part of going on vacation is trying out the local foods and/or tasting exotic foods you would never have at home. So: if you DO go off your plan, know that it is due to the fact that you are on vacation and that as soon as you come back home, you will go right back on plan. This is exactly what I did, and I am doing just fine. Don't sweat it!

Practice mindfulness as you savor every bite of whole unprocessed food you fuel your body with and breath between bites. Easy!

You do the same as you do at home.
