stopping my impulse to overachieve today. My bad habit is to keep "upping" my goals in fitness till it starts taking to much time or energy, then stopping completely. This morning I achieved my goal of 10 minutes on the elliptical, though I was tempted to start adding a minute every day.
I'm also very grateful for my husband of 47 years, and the warm relationship we have developed even though we're miles apart in temperament, hobbies, and even food. He pretty much eats anything he wants.... NOT ME!!!
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a cast away.

"Sparkpeople". It took me 3 years to lose 30-35 pounds. I am 4 days short of a month and have lost 6 pounds so far. I'm seeing trends and learning so much! I'm measureing my Olive oil and other dressing, and drinking/tracking my water. The app on my phone makes everything easier too. I'm just so happy to have heard about this site, and to think it is free blows my mind. I'm feeling very gratiful today.
