Positive! Last night my husband surprised me with tickets to a Pacers game, and we didn't have time to eat beforehand, so I was at the mercy of the overpriced, icky fieldhouse food. I hunted until I found a "healthy kids' meal" on one of the menus, with a PBJ, apples, and veggies. I was so proud of myself for dodging all the pizza and nachos that I still feel great today. emoticon

I believe that everyone has their days... there'll be both positive and negative days, but somehow you gotta get through them and find a way to get back on track. There's days when I just feel like giving up on dieting because it just gets so frustrating when there are no positive results... but I gotta get myself back on point. For sure! For all you people having a negative day, SMILE! Be glad to be alive :D

I am feeling a little of both today ... I am positive because I am staying focused on what I want to accomplish. However, I am also feeling a little negative because I am not losing any weight, in fact, I am gaining. I exercise regularly and try to stay within my calories for the day (some days I am below the required calories needed) What gives?

I always start the day with a positive attitude about my diet, but once I get to lunch and I'm famished, all my willpower diminishes and I binge. But today I prepared myself with mid-morning snacks so I wouldn't be so hungry at lunch, and it worked! All I had to do was take 5 minutes this morning to prepare and I set myself for a great day. I hope to make this a habit. I also now know that if I'm ever feeling negative again, I just need to say no once and pat myself on the back to get back on track.

I strongly recommend snacking-- contrary to what makes sense about dieting, keeping yourself from getting hungry is the best way to lose weight-- this is a MENTAL game more than anything.

starting: 173 lbs.
current: 157 lbs.
goal: 145 lbs.
