I am motivated TODAY. I lost 41 lbs. from last May until January. I just got off my path - lots of stress in my life which REALLY makes it hard for me not to eat. I am not eating things I shouldn't but eating too much...........usually fruit. I make vegetable beef soup (very large pot) every weekend and have done that since June 1st. Not tired of it yet. I eat it twice a day. Every once in awhile I will have a Lean Cuisine. I also get turkey/pork meatballs from Schwan's and sweet potato chunks. They also have a veggie medley that is really good - cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots. That's what I had tonight and had my soup for lunch. I usually eat a protein bar for breakfast - don't like eating breakfast.

So, I have gained 10 lbs. and I am so mad at myself. I have actually lost (had) 70 lbs. in the last three years. I comletely stopped eating or even wanting anything sweet. I've gotten that back to an extent as I eat a lot of Schwan's frozen fruit. I log my food and my blood sugar............which hasn't been as good as it was before I gained the 10 lbs. I am taking this day by day at this time. I can't exercise because I have "drop foot" and have to wear a brace on my foot. Plus I need a total knee replacement but am putting that off. I am going to start swimming, which I did all last summer - 45 minutes to an hour - no stopping. I live in FL and it's starting to get warm. I live alone so I am lucky that I don't have to have food for others in my house. I got a lot of "healthy" snacks but that has been bad for me because, although they are healthy and have no carbs, etc. But, they still have about 100 to 130 calories. I am counting my calories. I stayed at 1,200 all summer but it's harder now so I have chosen 1,300. I started this diet at 191 and got down to 150 - would range from 149 (only twice) to 152. I am now 162. One of my BIG problems is that I am a late night person. I am usually up until 5:00 AM and get up at 10:30 or 11:00. I don't have lunch until about 4:00 and take a nap and have dinner around 10:00. Since I'm up so late it's easy to want to snack............on my fruit.

Just need the motivation again. I started last year because I did have to have my total knee done and since my blood sugars were up so high, I kept getting bladder infections. The Dr, said that I couldn't have the surgery until my blood sugar was under control because if I got an infection, it would go right into my knee.

So, I'm starting over and getting back on track. Wish me luck!
