Have had 3 different doctors that know I take low doses but have never told me to discontinue

Just asked the cardiologist about taking aspirin. He said no more. It may be helpful for people who have had strokes or CVA, but not as a general supplement.

The take-away I got from both articles is that this is something you should discuss with your doctor. It appears that there may be some benefit in taking some dosage, for certain folks, but for everybody else--no. And for some folks, it may be doing more harm than good. I kind of don't understand why anyone would have self-prescribed themselves aspirin. But then, I'm allergic to aspirin anyway.

Low dose aspirin really should not have ever been in the mix. (yet alone self-prescribed with no basis except good marketing)
The study was done with 325mg, not 81. 81 was never proven to be useful, so I am glad "they" are saying to stop using it.
