We like eggplant slices with pizza toppings. There's also this, but shop around as the prices really vary and even the lowest is still pretty high, but not bad for an occasional treat:

Thanks Barb. You are so right. But I guess it’s finding a balance between staying on track while at the same time being easy on yourself.

Hey.... you didn't blow anything.. it's just a choice and doesn't mean you won't be on track. This is a life time change and you can do it. Be nice to yourself!

Thank you, Kathleen. That sounds delicious and a lot less calories than with the crust. Will try it!

FRAN - Been there done that~~~we all have those days. Most of the time I find myself in that situation I just eat the toppings off the crust,

But lately to satisfy that pizza craving I slice three slices of mozzarella onto a plate put some pizza sauce ( squeeze bottle from Contadina) on each piece of cheese then sprinkled with dried basil and microwaved it for 1 minute until it was all melted and gooie. It was delish.

Pizza's fine, depending on the diet. It's a great excuse to leave the crusts ("pizza bones") behind. (My parents, stuck in the Precambrian Age, seem to have problems with this.) If you're on low carb, you can legally scrape off the toppings then eat them. Or do a preemptive strike and get your veggies with a cauliflower crust. Then there's pounding a chicken breast flat then topping it with sauce. Even if you're not on low carb, you can then top it with toppings aside from cheese.

When I hit those days, I usually just switch to sticking to the low side of my calorie range for the next few days since it is suggested that you alternate eating at the top, middle, and bottom of your range anyway. That way my tiny brain doesn't register it as some sort of punishment, but rather just a sensible correction after an error. Always remember that it's the long-term and its trends that you want to keep the closest eye on. Everybody screws up now and then, but if your pattern is improving physical condition and reduced body mass, you're succeeding in spite of the occasional glitch. Never quit!

Though today did not go well, you can look forward to tomorrow. Don't be too hard on yourself. We have all been there and done that. Don't be too hard on yourself.

It went well yesterday and part of today, until my husband had a pizza delivered for lunch. I had no less than 3 slices! Now I can only spare about 150 calories for dinner.... I’m not giving up yet though!
