Ditto what LUANN says. Use the tools. Most important is the nutrition tracker and staying within your calorie limits. Next is fitness tracking. A good place to start is the "Help" button right next to your username in the upper right corner of this page. It will give you a track to run on till you figure out the site and don't forget that we're always here to help with questions. Best of luck and welcome to SparkPeople!

Set up your information and goals to get your calorie range.
Weigh/measure and track all you eat.

I'm not yet 50 but will be hitting that milestone February 2019. Anyone have any tips for weight loss, exercises, motivation for this stage of life especially for a woman going through menopause. I need to loss 50+ pounds to get to a healthy weight. Packing all this extra weight around on my 5 foot 2 frame is reaping havoc on my knees, ankles and feet. I enjoy hunting but it's hard to walk around in the woods when you are so out of shape... that's my motivation to be healthier, to be able to enjoy the things I like doing without feeling like it takes a ton of effort.
