First stop whining, negativity doesn’t help! I am 10 years older than you and last year lost 20 lbs in 6 months. It helped that I was able to quit work and didn’t have stress eating issues. I also focused on walking a lot. As far as eating every few hours, that’s a no no. Eat three decent meals a day, mainly low carb and no sugar or snacks! Also you can front load, eat most of your calories early on, having a very light or no dinner, really makes a difference.

Rejoice that you have a fixable problem, save the griping for things out of your control. Oh, and be prepared to be hungry a good bit of the time. Get used to it, it won’t kill you, and when you do eat remember this is not your last meal. As you get back into your skinny clothes that will motivate.

Easier said than done, you really have to want it, you just have to make that decision!

Regarding flab...
if it is fat, you will lose it as you lose weight.
If it is saggy skin, the only real option is surgery.
Or, in the case of a flabby midsection, Spanx!

Yes, I have been. Just frustrated. I log it all and now contemplating maybe doing low carb. GAH! TU for the kind words. Yes, on paper that may be a healthy weight but in my clothes and just the way I am looking now, flabby more around mid-section and lower half bigger....arms flabbier as well and am working out. Maybe, just will take time and I need to be patient? Not like I want to lose 20 pounds on my frame, just enough to comfortably get back into my clothes and nothing is working.

Do you weigh/measure and log all you eat?
Do you stay WITHIN your Spark-generated calorie range?

ETA: At 5'1" and 127 pounds, you are already at a healthy BMI. Perhaps you do not need to lose more...

WARNING:

I may be crying in my soup for a few so please bare with me! LOL

Okay, first and foremost...HELLO! emoticon First time on this board of course. How the HECK can one lose 10 pounds. YES! I KNOW! Some of you may have more but I have been fighting this 10 pounds well, now 12 pounds FIGHT for YEARS! My thyroid is normal, too by chance you may wonder. I had it checked a this year since I was curious. Overall: I workout out 3-5 a week, eat pretty healthy, (rarely eat fried foods or red meat, but have issues with my love for SUGAR and unfortunately, not much on a lot of veggies). Been trying to NOW to eat every couple hours with protein at most every meal and have been drinking an organic green drink to get my daily veggies in. Not bad once you get past the taste of liquid hay. LOL I think I may need some kind of kick-start or something.

Why is it so many folks out there can just tweak their diet or just add one day of exercising in along with what they are doing the pounds fly off...me, nada. I try and try with all kinds of workouts like Insanity, T-25, Biggest Loser, J.Michaels, joining a gym, etc. I am very pear-shaped and have huge legs for my size and flabby bat wings. NOT A GOOD MENTAL PICTURE and I apologize for this image now on your brain. LOL GAH!

So...just recently, I have upped my workouts now to 5 times a week and also including extra walking at work which could be 45-an hour extra on top of what I do at home. I have been doing the Jillian Michael's dvds (HIIT workouts) and also have a treadmill so have been walking on an incline of 15% (highest mine goes) for 30 mins.

Basically, I get bored easily so just flip flop those two and do a dvd (only 25 ish min. then walk about 20 to make up the difference to get 45 min. in at home)...or just do one workout of the tmill for 30 at 15% incline. That will get your heart pumping! LOL

Well, the past year my body has changed..hence, turning 50 and as I am typing I am NOT enjoying this personal summer that does visit from time to time. LOL Haven't had a TOM in about a year and the last one was pretty light so figured I AM THERE NOW! Pre-menopausal weight gain, changes to body. What's weird is my FAT is not flabby as much in places but kinda spongy and more cellulite. I drink at least 64 oz. of water, too. HELP!!! How can one slim the legs down and lose some weight now? Was told this incline walking will start doing the trick as to slim the lower half, get your heart pumping and good on the joints. As I mentioned, I am starting to workout 5-6 times now instead of the 3-5 and be more consistent. I don't graze and am healthy, THANK GOD! I don't know why not even an ounce disappears from the scale...jeans and pants are almost all off limits...cannot fit into them. Some brands I think I went up 2 sizes. I am 127.7 and the scale keeps creeping up. MIND YOU...I am SHORT! Just 5'1" and that is some THICK lower half going on. Legs getting bigger and I don't know what to do except just be patient??? May take a LONG time to get back down to 120 and into my clothes again. Yes, consistency 5-6 a week is KEY plus diet. I get that but....still so dang discouraged, not liking what I look like in shorts, and won't wear them out and just in a slump. Sorry, but did get a bit wordy didn't I? LOL I welcome all of your your suggestions, help, tips, etc. AND a shoulder to lean on!

THANKS! XOXOX

Tammy : )
