Oh gosh! You all are speaking my language! My DH hates anything "healthy". He won't eat chicken breast unless it is breaded and closely resembles fried. Potatoes must be french fries, mashed with tons of butter and gravy, or pan fries. Veggies cannot touch his plate. He will not eat salads either. Feeding him is very difficult! With my overbusy life, I do not have time to make two different meals each night. It would be great if fast food restaurants had cheap salads, as I would grab him fast food every night, and grab me a salad! I am now on a mission to figure this out as I can't continue to live like this. I want to change me and this is getting in the way. No excuses! There is some way to make a plan to take care of me and him! He is good about the exercise part usually, but will make comments about why I have to go to the trail instead of running on the treadmill, or if it has been a week since I've used the equipment at home, he will ask if we are selling it yet. I am so glad I have the Sparkpeople community to support me!!

Hello. I have the same problem. DH knows I am dieting but still brings food home I would rather not eat. "I know you like this so I brought you some". This is not something new and most times I just gave in.

But starting New Years Day 2018 I decided to take a firm stand. DH will take one piece of chocolate from a box and then he is fine until two weeks later and then he'll have another piece. I on the other hand, if I have one I could eat the whole box in one day! So I will not give in to it any longer. He is a kind and caring husband except he doesn't understand how he is undermining what I am trying to do. This is how I decided to handle it. If he brings something home I refuse it and then give him one week. If it is still in the kitchen tempting me I put the bread/bagels/pizza whatever into the freezer and ALL candy I throw it out if it is not eaten in one week. This is working quite well since January. When he gets tired of re buying it maybe he will stop. He is slowing down and he has noticed I am firm in not eating off my diet.
I guess the answer to your question, How do I stay motivated? Sheer angry will.
Sorry about venting.

My husband is lean. Every morning with his coffee, he has a bagel/w cream cheese, croissant or a sugary icing treat. ( with his coffee)

I know that I am not allowed to have any. I ignore it.
He sometimes offers me a bite.
He buys his goodies and I have somehow learned to ignore and pass on his temptations. emoticon

Stronger, more powerful, I got this.

I remind him of my goals and that he agreed to help me reach my goals. When I get him involved he tries to support me.

Learning to deal with people who do not eat as you do is part of the process.
As is learning to say "no, thank you" and mean it.

I have a hard time staying motivated and on track since my partner is not interested in my weight loss goals and brings temptations in the house all the time. How do you stay on track and pass on the goodies?
