Did an elimination diet. When I gave up gluten my legs stopped hurting. After 8 years of pain and countless tests.

Hi I have come to the realization that I am wheat intolerant. Unbearable itchiness of the upper arms and elbows is what I've been enduring for years. I've been to several dermatologists none of who have helped. So after some internet research and elimination of foods containing wheat and reintroduction of the same, I have concluded that I have a wheat intolerance. Thank God! the itching has stopped, at last count it had been 3 weeks of staying up all night with icepacks on my arms to freeze the itch. I have an appointment to see a specialist from the Mayo clinic who practices over in Ft Meyers I can't wait to see her. I just wanted to share this with all of you and to ask if there are any wheat intolerant people who need a lifestyle change to cope with this disorder on Spark People. Thanks flkeyesgirl
