Hello Everyone,

I am doing something classic at the beginning of the New Year, I like classic things so this may be a good thing :). I am starting a weight loss journey.

I would like to lose a full 60 lb. but will start with 42 lb. by my summer vacation at the end of July 2018.

Some of the changes I am making to help achieve this goal are as follows:

Drink 8 cups of water a day ( I know many think it should be higher but I will start here)
***Eat lower fat higher vegetable/fruit/fiber meals ( Not sure how many calories I should be eating so need to do some research - if you have any ideas please let me know as I am quite heavy now (218) and realize I may start out higher cal and lower the amount as I lose. My thought was to start around 1500 calories a day and lower by 50-75 calories at each 10 lb. loss.
Cardio exercise like walking, swimming or biking 3 times per week minimum for 30 minutes.

Any other suggestions to help make this goal a reality?

My first lofty goal is to lose 42 lb. by July 25, 2018! That is 28 weeks at an average of 1.5 lb. per week. Thanks for the support and positive thoughts.
