I have more confidence in myself, I actually give advice to younger people, I own my house outright, I'm financially secure, and I wake up everyday with a new appreciation of life.

...now if I could just get that extra 40 lbs off me... I'd be golden! but if not, I'll still be golden.

Yeah, time is flying by, so we may as well take ourselves in hand and keep going, right? I'm probably looking at another year until I get to my goal weight and I have to keep reminding myself that the time is going to pass anyway, so what's the big deal with having to keep on this program for that long? But I tell ya, one pound a week sometimes feels really, really slow...

I am wise enough to help the younger ones who come to me and ask for advice. I always tell them you don't have to stay in the situation and you certainly can learn not to do certain things again!!

SEMIRANS, don't look at this as six months, but look at it as each day being healthy, and making healthy choices. I turned 50 back 18 years ago and the time have flown by since.

Hi SEMIRANS,
And time has never passed as quickly as it has since I turned 50! So, those 6 months may just fly by!

Warmly,

I was struggling with me diet, thinking about the LONG 6 months ahead and how it seemed an impossibly long time to stay with this. I then realized I am 50 years old, I have lived half a century. Six months is a drop in the bucket and I can do this!
