I have transformed my feelings about food from an emotional basis to more mental. I don't look to food for comfort anymore, but rather fuel. I've gotten very compulsive about the numbers. I've become very exact and demanding of myself where calories and nutrients are concerned. So much so that I can't turn to food anymore for comfort because it violates my new thought processes concerning food. It has become all about the numbers with me. This did not happen overnight, but rather pretty gradually. In any case, we all have to find our way to get a handle on it that works for the individual. Start a fight with it and then just never quit till you win. Doing it can be very simple. Simple, but now easy. It will take work, but way too many people here have done it for it to be a fluke. Convince yourself that you can do it. Henry Ford said something I like. "Whether you think you can do a thing or not, you're probably right." That may not be an exact quote, but you get the idea. Think you *can*!

PS - Here's the exact quote as ascribed to Ford by Reader's Digest shortly after his death in 1947. "Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right."
— Henry Ford

Yikes! The year I was born!

Just looking for support on this journey. Yesterday was a horrible food day for me. It started when I got on the scale. Felt so hopeless and depressed. I need to put my feelings out there because I will eat over them.

Looking forward to know how you do it. 😒
