I am 50 years old. And have fibromyalgia,my knees and hips hurt constantly. My starting wt was 235, I'm down 12lbs. It's going slow but I am determined to make it. I want to loose 40 lbs. I suffer also from depression and anxiety, which stops me from doing my favorite things, like reading, riding my bike and other things. Anyway I wish you well on your path.

I can do all those things as well and I've got quite a few years on you. Problem is, I can't dance as long, people object when I sing, I have no desire to sew... so that leaves socializing.... I'm pretty good at that if I'm in the mood, but I prefer a good book. I know, I know, grouchy old man, right? Anyway, you're correct, whatever way you do it stay active and stay young. Never quit!
