Rhonda, good job and you will stick to it. You can do this.

Here we are at a new week and the weather is cooler. I have open windows and no air and it feels so good. Yesterday cooled down so nice and the dew point is now back down into the 50’s and that is good for my breathing. I did my 60 minutes of walking and 12,103 steps. I got out and hand weeded, deadheaded, and hoes the flower beds around the house. That felt so good to get that caught up. It is starting to look manageable again. I hope to be able to get some more done today. It will be a busy day for me today so not sure how much outdoor time I will get. Today is Hailleys vet appointment and I will be glad to get it over with. Hoping for good news.

Sharon don't overdue it! Sounds like you've been really at it.
Rosie- I can't stop her from eating poop- I've tried. It was easy for me to pick it up before I planted grass- now I don't find it as easy- but she does! But it doesn't make her sick. Her dog might get sick because she's eating dog's that may have been sick. My dogs are healthy.

MsKirby- we have been getting really short but hard storms here. In a matter of minutes are streets are starting to flood.

Today I'm so proud of myself. A while back I set a goal to do a mile in less than 19 minutes. emoticon 18 1/2 minutes!! So I have reset my goal for less than 18 by Aug 26th.. I also did my cardio workout (for the 1st time in a month or longer) Yesterday I did my strength workout (1st time in a few weeks) I'm doing better. 3 days in a row I stayed in my calories!! I've got my weight back down to what I was when this month began. I'm finally doing good-- hope I can stick with it!

Today is a day of rest but I am not sure what I will do. It is raining lightly outside right now but dew point is still high. When will it end. It sounds like today so that is good. It is supposed to only be in the upper 70’s today I that is such a nice change. Looking forward to being able to open my windows again. Yesterday was a nice day. It did get to 90 with a high humidity and sunshine. It was warm. Marshall was over and mowed in the morning and I got about half of the main garden area hand weeded. That was so good. I did my 60 minutes of walking and did get 9,134 steps. That is about the extent of what I did for the day,. I read some and did a few other little things around the house. I watched a lot of my taped shows and just plain enjoyed myself. Hope to get out today and get some hand weeding done if it stops raining and dew point goes down. Hailley looks to be walking better every day and she seems to be loosening up now when I move the leg. That is all good. I am nervous about what the vet will say tomorrow. Hope you all have a nice Sunday.

Rhonda, oh my word, yesterday my 18 yr. old granddaughter said her dog is eating other dogs poop when she takes him out on walks, and then pukes it up, when he is back in the apartment of hers, and she asked how to get him to stop doing that, I had never heard or saw that happen b4 and when he was here with her, I do not believe he ever did that,

You are doing much better on your food than I am Rhonda, I need to get going and do better and get into doing some crocheting as well.

Rhonda, keep working on your eating. Never give up. Sounds like you have your hands full with your 4 legged kids.

Good morning. It looks like one more hot and humid day. There are possible thunderstorms moving in late afternoon along with a cold front. I am so ready for it. LOL. Yesterday was a pretty good day. I got my 60 minutes of walking and 12,118 steps. I must have done something right because I didn’t do all that much but I did do a lot of walking besides my 60 minutes. Tina took me for groceries and I got that done for another week. I really didn’t need a lot but there are just some things I need every week and can’t go without them. I did some small chores around the house and even picked a few weeds outside the back door. It was very humid again but I think a little better than it has been. I hope to get some things done today. Time will tell how I do. My breathing is a little better so maybe things are getting better. Hailley might be getting better now. I have noticed her leg is loosening up and she is using better. I will find out more on Monday when she goes to the vet. Hope you all have a good weekend.

emoticon Still trying to get my eating under control. Today I planned my menu for a few days. I want to get a month's worth planned. I think I do better when I plan ahead of time.

My Scotty has good days and bad days. Today his back legs seemed weaker. When he stands on the tile they slide out from under him. I'm giving him chew tablet for joint & muscle stiffness. He's 15 and when he was a pup I gave him away ant the people ended up dragging him behind their truck. He got hurt pretty bad. That has a lot to do with his legs. Mitika is the same age but she's doing good. Sometimes she thinks she still is a pup. (she like to eat Scotty's poop and I think she gets his meds that way- that might be what giving her extra spunk!) Keoni is young so we go for 1.5 mile walks every day. Scotty can only walk a couple of houses and Mitika can do about a block. So by the time I'm done it's about 2 miles. Be nice to get back to walking 3 miles a day. I use to do that when Baby was alive. I really miss her!

Good Friday Morning. It is going to be another hot and humid day but they will soon come to an end. It looks like tomorrow will be the last of them and then on Sunday we will start to get some relief. I am thankful for that. Yesterday was hot and humid and I stayed indoors. I had a real tough start to the day but it improved later in the day,. I did my 60 minutes of walking and got 9,204 steps. I did a few little things around the house but not much else. I read some and played some solitaire on my tablet and watched some of the taped shows I have. I am now in season 7 of Criminal Minds and going strong. Halliey is still limping pretty bad and hope she does better today. Maybe the weather is bothering her too. Here’s hoping today is getting better

Good morning, here it is another day, I hope it will be a good one, I might or I should say, I'll go see my brother today, (lord willing) he asked me a couple of days ago, if I could get him a heavy duty sweater from a thrift shop as he is cold most all of the time, he does have a shirt jacket, and in the rehab homes, they can get chilly and especially when he is on some blood thinners,

I hope and pray emoticon that we all have a good day and that my brother can go home soon.

Good morning. It is going to be another warm and humid day. One of these days I will say that we are cooler and no humidity but that is not yet. I will take what comes and do what I can. It is hard to breathe so don’t get a lot done but that is okay too. It never hurts to have some down days. Yesterday was really tough with temperature at 92 and dew point at 75 with heat index at 101. I didn’t get much done. I did make a nice chicken parmesan casserole for dinner and it turned out pretty good. I enjoyed it. I did some reading and stitched a little and also watched some of my taped shows. I walked 45 minutes and got 7,256 steps. Not my usual but still good. My walking streak is still in tact at 482 days of doing some walking. That makes me very happy. Hailley seemed pretty sore yesterday and hope she is doing better today. I think she got a little too excited when the guy was here with the oxygen delivery on Tuesday and she hurt her leg a little. She likes people and gets so excited. I try to catch her and hold her when he comes but missed her this week.

Good morning. It is going to be a good morning. It will be very hot here and humid. They are calling a dangerous day so will not be spending any time outside today. Yesterday was warm and humid and I did a little in the house. I got the trash and recycle out to their bins and then out to the curb for pickup today. Watered I door plants and just little things like that. I did my 60 minutes of walking and 11,1124 steps. Barb and I went out for dinner last night and we went to Pizza Ranch. I love their chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy, I also love their pizza. It was a good dinner and good chat. I love my night out with her.

Rosie, glad your weather is settling down. Sure wish our would. Very warm and humid here. Good morning. Yesterday was a total bust for me. I only did 30 minutes of walking with 5,101 steps. About noon my body decided to have a gall bladder attack and it was no fun. I parked myself in my chair and suffered through it. I couldn’t eat and it was all I could do to sit still and rest. I finally dosed off and it seems to let up when I can get some sleep. I dosed off and on all day till I woke up at about 12:30 and took Hailley out to go potty and I sure felt better then. I boiled a potato and had it with butter and sour cream. I then went back to sleep and slept till 5:30 this morning. I was lucky to miss the 90 degree temperatures with a high dew point of 74 making the heat index 100. It looks like another day of that and then cooling down some. It is 78 degrees right now and the dew point is 72. We have some chances of thundershowers and hope we do get some rain because then I won’t have to water. Hope you all have a good day.

Good afternoon

You all know I have been off track lately. I'm sorry! But as of today I am getting back on track!! That's right I'M BACK!!

Today I started a new DARE to do. I am so impressed with the idea I decided to ask all of my spark friends to join me. A lot of this stuff you are probably already doing but let's take a week and do it together!

I DARE YOU!!

These are the things I'll be using this week to help me get motivated and back on track and I'm asking the YOU to join me.

These are the 5 habits I am gong to work on starting today!

One: Weighing, measuring, and tracking every food and beverage that enters my mouth using the SparkPeople Nutrition Tracker. No eye-balling!

Two: Tracking my fitness minutes and calories burned using the SparkPeople fitness tracker.

Three: Eating high-quality foods that promote weight loss. This means nutritious whole foods, like fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat dairy.

Four: Drinking at least 64 ounces of water per day.

And five: Celebrating at least one non-scale victory to help me stay motivated.

Plus repeat 3 times a day:
I can do this! I am worth it! I will succeed!

I also have started a spark challenge for 1 week: Should be fun;
LoL Challenge 7/8 Fitness Feats
The daily fitness challenge allows you to select from the of "wins". Which are positive actions that help improve your fitness level. This will include fitness activities & other actions that contribute to a good fitness program.

Write down at least 1 fitness goal in the morning
The first 10 minutes of fitness counts as 3 wins
Each additional 10 minutes of fitness counts as 1 win
Stretch at least 5 minutes
Do a strength workout
Try a new exercise or workout
Ask a buddy to workout with you

My NSV for today (dare project) I tried spinach enchilada when I went out to lunch. Had to be less calories. Had no beans & rice. I also went to the store and purchased celery, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, bananas, mango for snacks. Maybe if I have to munch stick celery in my mouth!! I got up and took Keoni for a walk this morning. I'm moving again!! emoticon

Good morning. It is going to be a hot and humid day and I am ready to stay in and stay cool. Yesterday was a bad day for breathing so took it easy all day. I really didn’t do anything but dose in my chair and watch TV. It seems like I must have done something but I can’t for the life of me figure out what. LOL. I did do my 60 minutes of walking and did 10,690 steps. It became a little more humid as the day went by and so that was the reason for the bad breathing. My SIL Jim, had hernia surgery yesterday and so I was waiting for information about that. He came through fine and was home by mid afternoon. Boy, they sure don’t keep you long for things like that anymore. He was in a lot of pain last night but hope he is better today. Hailley seemed to have a little tougher day yesterday so hope that today is better. She sure hates it when I give her the pain medicine. I thought of getting them to make pills for me but it turned out way to expensive so stayed with the liquid. I am hoping that today I can get some more of the house cleaning done. It is a good time to do it when I can’t be outside. Time will tell.

Glad that you reported it Rosie. I hope they do take care of it.
;We are now at the weekend and it is going to get hot and humid again. It will be and indoor weekend and I guess I have plenty to do inside. I would like to get more weeding done but it will have to wait. I will work outside today because it isn’t too bad yet. Yesterday was a busy day. I did my 60 minutes of walking with 10,228 steps. I went and got groceries and did the weed whacking and trimming along the fence. Marshall was over and mowed early and the lawn company was here and sprayed the fertilizer and weed control so the yard is in good shape right now. Barb and I went out for dinner last night and we ended up at Red Lobster. I had shrimp and they were very good. I do like Red Lobster and it had been quite a while since we had been there. Hailley is working on getting better. I think she is starting to use her leg more every day. I am keeping my fingers crossed so that when we go to the vet in another week she will have marked improvement.

I am losing track of time again. I thought today was Saturday but here it is only Thursday. It is going to be a nice day so hope to get outside to do some weeding. The weeds seem to love this rain. Yesterday it was very humid again and we had early morning rain. It did turn sunny and warm. I stayed inside all day. I did my 60 minutes of walking and 11,256 steps. I dusted the furniture and cleaned the bathroom, so did get some house cleaning done. It is well needed. Hailley is starting to use her leg more and I am doing a little therapy on it so it doesn’t seize up, It is really tight but I keep working it and the walks outside really help. I don’t let her go very far because it is not good for her to overdo it. I made some BBQ ribs in the oven and au gratin potatoes and they were so good. I love my cheese. It feels good to be cooking a little more too.

Sharon, it really isn't the way I wanted or had intended to retire, because, I just don't know how things will actually work out as not enough funds I don't think, I am however getting some help, from state, but, again we shall see. It is nice that I don't have to set my alarm clock anymore for work, and I can go to more activities at the senior center and things like that, ne

I've been going to thurs. and fri exercises, but, this thurs. (tomorrow) there will be none, I got a phone call when I was out yesterday saying there would be none

I guess it rained last night I don't know for sure cause it doesn't look like it outside, and I was in bed and had the ceiling fan on

Rosie, how are you enjoying your retirement. I hope things are working out for you.
Rhonda, hopefully we won't see anymore from them. A lot of times it is a one time thing. Hope this is one of them.
Happy 4th of July to those of us that celebrate the day. It is raining here this morning and looks like that will last through the morning. It should start to become less humid sometime this afternoon. Yesterday was one of those days where breathing was hard due to the weather. I stayed inside and took it easy. I finished a book and I even picked up my needle and did some counted cross stitch. I haven’t done that for several months now and it sure felt good. I guess I missed it more than I thought. I know that now that I started again I will get back into it and really make some progress on the project. I need to start framing again so I can get some of my things on the wall. I did do my 60 minutes of walking and got 10,401 steps. I walked Hailley up and down the driveway a couple times yesterday and she is doing a little better. She got her hair cut yesterday and looks great. I was worried about her skin but it seems to be doing good. I am hoping to get some housecleaning done today since it is going to be a stay inside day again. Time will tell. Hope you all have a great day.

It is strange because I have never seen that kind of spam on Spark before and it is so unusual. I don't know how to get rid of it either.

It looks like some thunder storms this morning and then will be warm this afternoon. Hope we do get some rain. We did get some rain last night but not sure how much. Don’t think it was much. Yesterday was a nice day. Had the windows open most of the day and then it started to get humid and warmer. I did 3 loads of laundry and got some small things done around the house. I did my 60 minutes of walking and 10,306 steps. Hailley is improving a little every day. I sure hope that I get her pain meds in the mail today because I am almost out and don’t want to run out. It seems to be helping her. We do a little walking everyday and that seems to help.

Rosie, hope the computer woes are over now and that we will see more of you. You are missed when you are gone.


Here it is another week and it is a lovely morning. The temps are in the low 60’s and the humidity is down. Sun is shining and there is just a light breeze. Yesterday was a miserable day until late last night when the humidity dropped and I was able to open the windows. I love it. I did my 60 minutes of walking and 10,422 steps. I made a nice pasta and vegetable salad and a nice loaf of 505 whole wheat bread that turned out so nice. I didn’t do much else except I did feed the birds and walk Haillie up and down the driveway a little to get her moving. I did do some reading and watched some of my taped shows and enjoyed that. Just rested most of the day. It was a good one to do that.

Had a downpour yesterday and it is so hot today I wanted to walk but did talk myself into staying in this ho ho6t weather is too much
Did get my hair cut and no perm for a while no frosting either but no one belives me when I tell them it is my natural shade I will be eighty my birthday and thought I would get some gray like my mom did but she had nice dark hair and it was nice
Oh well gotta run see what is for dinner see you later

emoticon Wishing you an awesome Friday!

Yesterday was a great day- I got in my walk, my ST, & even mowed my lawn-plus my garage is looking better. This morning walk is done. Will do cardio later. Posted a blog on What 4th of July means to me. It was so weird- I woke up thinking about our freedom and how people seem to have forgotten about it. So I want to spread a little love - peace- and respect to the world. It's important to remember we have the right to openly practice our faith, politics, & life style- There are so many people who are killed every day for believing differently than what their government allows. This is a great time to Thank all veterans & their families for their sacrifice. Happy 4th of July to USA!

I'm getting so excited!!! Tomorrow is Saturday and my son will be here tomorrow am- then we go to church- then out for Mexican food (one of my favorite foods), and a movie. I guess I should see what movies are playing in Laughlin, NV That's were we are headed after church. Then Sunday am I will be dropping him off at the airport to say bye and probably won't see him for another year or 2. 8-(

Glad you are getting the computer fixed Rosie. Hope it doesn't take too long and is reasonable. It is going to be warm here too for the next week at least. In the 90's.
It is raining! I am happy. It is going to be a warm humid day with some sun and breeze. We just had a nice shower and hope that the rain amount is good. Yesterday was a little bit hard to be outside. I did get out early and watered the garden and cleaned both bird baths and refilled. I cleaned a few more bird feeders and refilled them and so that is done. I washed some of the runner rugs that Tina gave me to use for Hailley so she wouldn’t slip on the wood floors. I bought some for myself on Monday when Barb and I went to WalMart. I did some reading and watched some more of my taped shows. I also got in a few good naps. Felt pretty good to get some sleep. I did get my 60 minutes of walking with 8,979 steps. Didn’t make my 10,000 but that is okay. I will get there today if I can. Every day is different.

Rosie sure will be glad to see you post regularly again. lol.. Hope it isn't too much of a problem for the computer and they fix it fast.
Rhonda, you always stay so busy. Keep up the good work.
It will be hot today and very humid. The humidity did go down over night so I was able to open windows for the night. I will have to close out early today and that will last through Saturday. Yesterday was warm at 88 and sunshine and high humidity with no wind. I got out early and watered the plants and then I hand weeded behind the garage and hoes the flowers. I did a little deadheading also. I fed the birds and did a few other little things around the house. I did get my 60 minutes of walking with 10.237 steps.. I did watch a few shows that were taped and rested some in the afternoon. It seems I can always find something to do to keep me busy. Hailley is still in a lot of pain and I am not sure she is progressing like she should. I will find out more tomorrow when she has her vet appointment.

Good morning!

It's going to be another hot sunny day! 103 today! I need to get busy. Been on the computer all morning. But I have done a lot! I've updated team members b-day's & spark anniversary's - I've got the next 2 weeks challenges made up for the team. Starting next week we will be going into fitness! Plan to spend 4-6 weeks in fitness.

I think I'm finally caught up from my vacation. Yesterday I scheduled all of my mom utility turn-ons. Donated a bunch of stuff- Now my garage is getting empty! WOW it's already 80 out and it's only 0730 am. I don't know If I'm going to make our walk this morning. I have a busy day ahead. Been up since 4am. Think maybe I'll eat breakfast and relax before I start my days appt. I think I'll skip the walk- Today is suppose to be my fun day! Tomorrow I will need to get back on track. It looks like I only lost 2 pounds for this month but at least it wasn't a gain. My vacation put weight on me and it's all gone now. JULY WILL BE A GREAT MONTH!!

I seem to be losing track of time these days. Every day seems the same. LOL. It is going to be in the 80’s again today with humidity and chances of showers again. We still haven’t had any so it really doesn’t mean much. Yesterday I did my 60 minutes of walking and 12,123 steps. I don’t know what I did to get there but seems like I must have done something. I did water my plants in the morning and then hoed along the side of the garage. Now I just have the back to do and hope to get it done today. I got all the waste paper baskets emptied and all the recycle and trash out to the bins and the bins out to the curb for pickup today. I didn’t do much else after that. I stay in as much as possible when it is humid because it really affects my breathing. This has certainly been a strange summer. I have used my AC more this year than the last 3 or 4 years total. I miss the fresh air and having the windows open. I love the sounds of the birds and the night sounds.

Another hot day and am staying in this heat is ting to me cut my walking in half or better if I dont get it done in the very early part of the day it is just tooooo hot to get out oh well one more month and we will be getting ready for decent temps.

Good morning. It is Tuesday and going to be another day with chances of showers. We have had chances since Saturday and have only had a light shower with no accumulation. It has only wet the ground. I would much prefer a good rain as to so many days of just humidity and the clouds. Yesterday was a productive day for me. I did three loads of laundry and then got my hair cut. I watered the all the flowers and cleaned my bird baths. I then emptied and vacuumed the big ground feeders that my son made and got some new seed in them. I also took down some other feeders to wash and refill. Barb and I went to WalMart and then on to dinner. Oh is was so good to feel good enough to go out and eat and was I hungry. We had such a nice visit and it was really nice. Oh, I also got my 60 minutes of walking and 12,138 steps.

Good morning!
I'm going to try to catch my breath and slow down long enough to say emoticon

I feel like my head is spinning. Been so busy trying to catch up with everything that I feel like a chicken without a head. I don't know if I'm actually getting caught up further behind emoticon Everytime I think I getting caught up I remember another 100 things I haven't done!

I went to Vegas and picked up my son yesterday. I hate airports. So confusing!! But I survived it. On our way back to the house the park was having a concert- so we stopped and listened for a few minutes. It's too hot to be outside- so we left. Was enjoying the music. Went home- forgot how long it has been since my son was here. He noticed my carpet- interior paint- living room furniture- and bedroom furniture. I didn't realize I had done so much work on the inside until he starting telling me how much liked it. Showed him all the work I've been doing outside this year. I guess in the last 2 years I've completely remodeled my home. Made me feel good. He was also impressed with all the weight I lost. He said the last time he seen me he was really worried about me. I gained another 10 lbs after that - that he never seen. But I'm down 70 now-- So that's great-- have appx. 65 more to go. Then we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and talking. He'll be Sat around 10-11 am. Then we plan to go to church at 2pm- go to Laughlin have Mexican food and watch a movie. Then Sunday bright and early back to Vegas we go so he can fly home. He's spending the week running around through AZ to visit family & friends. I packed him 2 roast beef & swiss cheese sandwiches and water and an apple to take with him this morning. It was really nice seeing him.

Speaking of vacations - I just finished one with my mom. We had a great time. We went to Denver- to Garden of the Gods- Then to Mesa Verde- 4 corners- and Canyon de Chelly . Some really pretty countryside out there. Absolutely gorgeous!

Our little mini vacation is what threw my life into a whirlwind! Still trying to catch up and hopefully mellow out. Trying to do too much too fast!! At least I'm slowly getting my walking back on track. But haven't succeeded with my workouts yet. Amazing how 1 week throws a monkey wrench into your life. I will get there.

Good morning. It is going to be another day with chance of showers but seems like we are just not getting any of the rain around us. It is going around. Yesterday I did absolutely nothing. It was a bad breathing day with lots of humidity and I just sat and watched taped shows. I did do my 60 minutes of walking with 10.374 steps. It was even one of those days where I wasn’t really able to eat. It was in the 80’s with some sunshine and the dew point was up there. Hailley is now off the pain medicine and it shows. She is putting some weight on her leg and moving a little bit more now but she is very careful. I sure hope that things are progressing normal. She goes to the vet on Friday so will see then if she is getting better. I hope to get a few more things done today and hope I feel a little better than yesterday,.

ME HAPPY! Checked my weight and I've lost all the weight I gained while on my trip! BOY WAS THAT QUICK & EASY!!! Usually takes me months or at least weeks. And I'm not on full exercise routine yet! Speaking of that- I'm skipping all exercise today.

So far today I've put roast & veggies in crockpot- that way when I get back from Vegas dinner will be done! I love crockpots!!

Everything is watered. garage swept- makes it nicer to use hot tub. I sat in it last night. Keeping the temp turned down makes it nice for summer.

Last night I went in my room and turned on the TV-- no sound. - Turn it off and on- up & down-mute on & off. Several times. was about to give up and then I turned it on again and sound came back. I think that's a bad sign. I don't want to lose my TV. That's how I go to sleep every night.

I found a new tea at the store- Peach. Going to try it out. Have it steeping now. Smells great! Box said it taste like peach pie. That will go good with dinner. Imagine peach pie with no calories! Also trying a new salad- Pear Gorgonzola

Starting out with a bad morning. Sure hope it improves. Yesterday was a fair day. I had more trouble breathing so didn’t go outside to work. I did some indoor work. I got my 60 minutes of walking and 10,400 steps. I made some bread in the bread machine and it turned out good. I like to use the dough cycle and then bake it in the oven. Works good and I get a nice shape bread. Hailley is slowly improving and starting to put a little more weight on her leg. It is going to be a slow process. I think today I will also take it easy and see if I can catch up a little on some of my recorded shows. I am way behind and I need a good quiet day.

Seen this through my Spark Coach lesson- had to share.

Tomorrow I am putting a roast w/veggie in crock pot so dinner will be done when we get back from Vegas. Also having a salad with it and some ice herbal tea. Dinner will be easy. And a friend is coming over to join us.

Tonight I am planning on sitting in the hot tub-- but I've lowered the temp because it is so hot out lately. Didn't get my garage swept. Wanted to do that. Maybe tomorrow morning. Will see.

I do need to slow down and do my fitness before my whole body is out of whack. and then it will take weeks to get back in shape. and I'm already starting to feel pain in my back and lower back and knees again. Honestly strength training really helps reduce pain because the muscles get stronger and it supports your body! Plus it helps you burn more calories every day and that helps reduce your weight which also helps your body to hurt less.

I need to find a painter to paint the interior of my mom's home. Plus I need to find out how much it will cost to put up a metal carport for my mom. Home depot has one for sale for about 900. (I think). Need price on carpeting, price on fencing- plus I still need to put down weed control fabric around the 2 trees that are planted with mulch. So much to do and so costly too!! But it's going to be worth it to have my mom close by. She may need to buy my food for the next few years but we' will get by!!

I'm tired and want to go to bed but I also want to go sit in the hot tub. So good night!

Rhonda, good morning to you too. It is so good to see you posting again. You were missed. You are a really very busy lady. Keep up the good work.
Here we are at another weekend. We are supposed to have possible showers off and on now for the next 3 to 4 days and hope that we do get some. It is getting dry again. Yesterday was another good day for me. I did my 60 minutes walking and 13,221 steps. I got out and watered the flowers and then I got the back yard and some bad areas around the peony bushes weed whacked and that took a lot of time. I also did some hand weeding and trimmed some more of the dead out of the flowers. When it got hot I did some things in the house. I took time out to make a nice creamy chicken dinner that was new to me and it was pretty good. I would make it again. I thought it was time to cook something good. I have been doing a lot of boiled potato with sour cream and butter and eggs on toast for dinner lately. It seems it is easy and goes down well. Just plain lazy. I love to cook and need to get back into it. I love trying new recipes. I will have to start planning 1 new main dish dinner for the week. It used to work well for me and I will have to start doing that again. It helps me get back on track with the vegetables.

Yesterday was a great day!! While my carpets were being cleaned and it got really hot outside I took Keoni down to Petco for a bath to get out of the heat. I had lots of time to do things- so I put down weed control fabric around my 3 baby tree and red mulch. I went to spa store and bought a new filter for my hot tub and got some great advice. I bought a gallon of vinegar and put in the hot tub to clean out all hard water deposit. That must have worked great because the jets are stronger. And he introduce me to different chemicals. And I also found out our water here is really high in PH-- That has given me such a hard time. I thought I was doing something wrong. It's not me it's the water!! I also went grocery shopping. Seems like I got more done than that. Guess it took most of the day.

I didn't do TNT yesterday but did it this morning! Starting WEC today!! For the other team.
I took Keoni for a walk & we were out there for 38 mins! And it's hot. It's already 81 & only 843am. At night it's taking forever for it to cool down to upper 70's.

AND I'M FEELIN GOOD! DOIN MY HAPPY DANCE!! 2 more days and I pick up my son in Vegas! Have lots to do today!!

Rhonda, if those temperatures are spring I sure wouldn't want to see what summer is like there. I would never venture out in that weather.
Here it is Friday already and it is going to be a little warmer today. Sounds like a little more humidity and near 90. I will try get out and get done what I need to early. Yesterday was another good day. I did my 60 minutes of walking with 12,104 steps. I got over bright and early for my blood pressure check and blood draw and things are looking pretty good. Sodium was 135 and magnesium 1.6 so all is good there and blood pressure was only up a little. Doctor did reduce my one blood pressure med back down again but then added another one. We then went and got my groceries for the week so that is done now. I got out and finished hoeing the garden and the spot by my back door by my deck. I also got the last of the peonies deadheaded and hand weeded around the garage. Now I just need to hoe around there. I also pulled the weeds in the bird feeder area so that is clean again. Looks pretty good to me. Hailley’s tummy is good now and today I will let her roam around the house a little and see how she does. I am sure she will like that. Last day for the pain meds too I hope. We will see how she does when I take her off them.

I got my walk in this morning. It's getting too hot for this!!!!!! Still need to do my ST. And my TNT for another team (TNT=ST)

Plus this morning I'm having my carpets cleaned. they should be here soon.

I went over my calories yesterday. I had one choc. chip cookie last night. I bought 3 dozen cookies and they ate them all except for maybe 6 and I left them there. I was not bringing them home another night to sit on my counter again. Woohoo they sat there all night and I didn't touch them!! I made chicken & veggie soup and they ate it. There was like 4 servings left out of 30. Also took strawberries and grapes. I ate half of the grapes from the store to home. So there wasn't very many of them to take to the dinner. This is where I messed up I ate 4 dinner rolls with butter on it! OOPS!! There went my calorie range!

Today will be better. I need to get my hands on the grocery ads. Need to go shopping.

Sharon I'm so glad you are having good days!! It's already 87 out and it's only 830 am; yesterday was 105 today suppose to be 103! At 8pm it was still 100 out. I think summer is almost here!

Rosie, sorry about the computer. Is there someone that you said could help you and when can they do that. I am sure you would really like to have it working again.
It was a great day yesterday and I am feeling pretty good right now. It will be 8n the 80’s again today with sunshine and light breeze. Yesterday turned out lovely and I got quite a bit accomplished. I did my 60 minutes of walking and 13,670 steps. It felt good to get those steps in. I hand weeded around the plants in the main garden and did the deadheading. I then hoed two thirds of the garden but it got to warm to do anymore. I also deadhead some of the peony bushes in the back of the yard. I watered in my new plants and just relaxed in the sun a little. It was nice to get so much done in the yard. I did some small things around the house and then relaxed a little and watched some of my taped shows. Hailley is eating better and was very good with no accidents. I am hoping we are through with that problem now. One more day of keeping her constantly contained. She spent a lot of good time sleeping the chair with mom so that was good for her. I need to go and get a blood pressure check today and will get a blood draw. I am curious to see the blood work as I haven't had one for quite awhile now.

Rhonda, hope you enjoyed your vacation and glad to see you back.
It is another day and it will be a good one. The sun will shine, the temps will be manageable and light breeze. Yesterday was a pretty good day. I didn’t get a lot done but Hailley seems to be on the mend. I got my 60 minutes of walking done with 10,240 steps. I got out and planted my 4 new plants and was glad that got done. I then just did some little things around the house. Hailley was on restricted food. Like I only gave her a few kernels at night. Otherwise she didn’t have anything but water and a few little treats to give her medicine. She had one accident in the morning and then didn’t go the rest of the day so maybe we have the problem under control. I will start giving her a little food today and hope for the best. Only two more days of this and then off the pain meds and able to walk a little. Will see how that goes. I would like to get a little done outside today in the morning before it warms up too much.

I'm back from vacation!!
This morning is going GREAT!!

I went for walk; I did 2 Spark People workouts!! and manage to do my LCW workout.

I'm getting back into the swing of things!

couldn't get here sat, cause had to go downstate and pick up my grandson, an library closes at 2 pm, daughter is up now and having a garage sale, nice warm day with a cool breeze not bad,

Rosie, so good to see your lovely face. Hope things are well for you.
Kirby, glad you had a great day. Our kids can be so enjoyable and it is good to be with family.
It is a beautiful day. The sun will shine and it will be 83 today with light breeze. Yesterday was also a great day. We got to 81 with sunshine and light breeze. These are the kind of days that make us feel good. I did my 60 minutes of walking and got 12,174 steps. I did 3 loads of laundry and got all the waste paper baskets and recycles out to the garbage cans and did a few other small chores around the house. Barb and I went to our nursery and I bought the last of the plants I will buy for this year so now need to get them in the ground today. We then went for dinner and enjoyed some pleasant conversation. I had a good time. I am happy things are starting to get better for Hailley because it sure helps me to get some things done. I enjoyed my day.

Kirby, hope you enjoyed the day with your daughter and kids and had a great meal. Nice when someone else does the cooking.
It is now the beginning of a new week and I hope this is a good one. Yesterday was a total wash out and I spent the whole day running Hailley outside and cleaning up after her. She started to get better later in the day and she made it through the night without going out and having an accident. I am so happy for her and me LOL. I did get in 50 minutes of walking and 8,123 steps. Better than I thought. It was not a good breathing day for me either. It rained quite a bit over the weekend and I really liked that. The gardens and flowers got lots of good watering. I finished a book and watched some taped shows and that was about all I claim for the day.

Hello every one another day and the sun is trying to come out Vicki and kids will be here for dinner she is cooking and I am making a dish or two, expect we will have fun we always do .
