Hi ladies! I'm 50, going through meno, and want to lose 15 pounds (I'm only 5'1" with a starting weight of 140). I don't believe in "dieting", but I DO believe in lifestyle changes. I also believe that what USED to work for me in the past no longer applies. This has been a harsh reality for me from someone who's never had a weight problem before. I don't really have a timeline. I don't want to be a slave to the scale, so I'm only going to weigh in every 2 weeks and take my measurements. The scale is very deceiving, I find. Goal is 1200-1400 calories/day; 1-3 small servings of dairy per day; 1 fruit per day; 1 serving of a starchy carb with dinner per day; and the rest lean protein and lots of veggies. I also aim to get 10,000 steps per day; and will start a strength-training program soon!
