I was a fat kid at age 8 and I'm still very overweight at 65!
I've been on a million diets and would lose 20 or 30 pounds and think "I'm done!" I'd celebrate with food and gain it all back.
It took me over 50 years to understand there is no quick fix, and that there's no going back. At my age with my metabolism, I can't eat more than 1300 calories a day and still lose weight, and that's with 40-60 minutes a day of hard cardio and weight training. That's just how it is going to be, so I'm adjusting to it.
I'm keeping it interesting by trying new recipes so I have good lunches at work and don't get bored. Have lost 19 pounds in 4 months. Slow and steady.
