Learn something new every day! I never knew you could enter just the nutritional info for a recipe in the tracker - I thought you had to enter it as a recipe first. Ok, now I see the instructions - I did know you could manually enter a food, but I never thought about that for a recipe :)

Our terms just say you can't submit and share copyrighted recipes to SparkPeople's Shared Recipes Database, but you can enter those for yourself as long as you don't submit it so it will just be in your recipe box for your use. As long as you aren't checking the box to submit it (it's defaulted to not be checked), then the recipe will only be saved in your recipe box for your use only.

Also, just a note that if you already have the nutrition info and don't necessarily want or need the actual recipe instructions and other info, you can just make that a manual entry in your nutrition tracker page. This page has info on how to do that (it's likely much easier and faster to do that instead): www.sparkpeople.com/community/help_answer.

Hope that helps!

the only confusing part is that it says not to put in recipes from other sites (probably a copyright liability issue) :) So when I do put in an outside recipe (from another site), I just don't make the recipe public... I hardly ever make the recipes public anyway because I only really use it to have it in the nutritional calculator - I don't usually put in all the cooking instructions, for example, because I already have the full recipe elsewhere.

You can go to SparkRecipes.com, click on the link for the recipe calculator, enter your recipe, then submit your recipe so it will only be in your recipe box (make sure you don't check the box to share it in the database).

Hope that helps!
