I thought this article does a great job summarizing.

"If you want a consistency similar to white flour but don’t want to actually use it, Warren recommends opting for whole spelt flour, which isn’t gluten-free but will give your goods a nice, fluffy texture."

What type of healthier are you looking for?
Lower carbs? Then yes definitely almond flour is it. But no, you can't do a one-to-one substitute for recipes. You're better off googling something like "almond flour muffins" or "almond flour crusted"

If you can define what you mean by healthier, you will get more specific responses.

Lower fat? Maybe not.

Any one know if almond flour is any healthier than wheat flour? And if I can substitute it in recipes? Thx!
