Thank you. I've generally just used chicken broth and put some peas in the rice and wanted something different. Never had 'dirty rice', it sounds good!

I'm assuming you already know how to cook rice.

Sprinkling parmesan cheese is easy to do once it's cooked. Or another cheese favorite.

My kids loved 'dirty rice' so when I bought whole poultry, I cooked the liver, chopped it into small tiny pieces and then froze it for when I wanted to make dirty rice. It's pretty much just add it to the rice while it's cooking.

Using broth instead of water adds flavor easily.

Don't overlook trying out different types of rice -- medium grain almost has a sweetness of its own. Medium grain brown rice is really delicious to me on its own. I hate Uncle Ben's. It tastes like cardboard to me.

I need recipes for rice as a side dish for a pork chop, chicken leg, etc. Something easy yet tasty.
Thank you in advance.
