I love fresh-ground almond butter.

I grew up with unsweetened peanut butter, so the lack of sugar in fresh nut butters doesn't bother me at all, but if it's something you feel is missing, try drizzling a little honey on top of whatever you just slathered the almond butter on. :-)

My all-time favorite, though, was this concoction from Central Market in Shoreline, WA. It was toasted hazelnuts freshly ground together with milk chocolate chips. Like a totally grown-up version of Nutella that actually tasted like hazelnuts, and not just like sugar. SO. GOOD.

It's probably a good thing we don't live there any more!

Take life one day at a time - enjoy today before you worry about tomorrow.

I like almond butter. I didn't like it at first because it doesn't have as much sugar as regular peanut butter. But, know I use almond butter for fat bombs.

I love hazelnut butter. Sometimes it is mixed with almond butter and is ok. Better than almond butter, in my opinion.

I love peanut butter, but use it sparingly since it has so much sugar & fat in it.

Hazelnut is so tasty. I would love to be able to try pistachio butter.

I like almost all of the ones I’ve tried; sunflower, almond, cashew and hazelnut.

Hazelnut! I found a recipe online somewhere for Nutella. I liked it but my family didn't care for the texture. I ground it up and left it at that and it wasn't as smooth as the store bought stuff.

Consistency is key. But moderation is up there.

for nutritional benefits, i like almond butter. i'd love to get my hands on some hazelnut butter but i can't find any around here (i should just make it myself). i buy unsalted/unsweetened nut butters and then use them in savory or sweet applications. as the temp is rising here i'm really enjoying veggie rolls with thai peanut sauce (makes great cold noodle salad as well!).

the only nut butter i haven't enjoyed is actually sunflower seed butter. i don't know if the jar i bought was just off, but it had a really fishy smell and taste and i had to return it.

there are many more indulgent flavored nut butters as well, which can be quite the treat!

Healthy choices and actions have positive impacts, even if the scale doesn't move!

I stopped getting nut butters at Whole Foods. Not for quality reasons. There's 3 Whole Foods near enough to use. But ... for some reason, all the stores keep moving the location of the self-grinding machine. It's not a hugely popular item, so employees frequently don't notice where the machine is. Customer Service desk can be irritatingly misinformed as well.

My favorite is the almond butter. I like the raw freshly ground type you can find at places like Publix, healthy food places, Whole Foods. They are nuts only, not added oils.

haha I've been told to eat less nut butters for calorie control. They're a weakness of mine.
Our local Mom's store has fresh ground peant and almond butter. The fresh ground doesn't have oil sitting on top and while you're in the process of consuming the container of it over the next couple of months, it won't develop oil on top. Get fresh ground if possible.
Trader Joe's has a nut butter that is a mix of ground nuts that really taste nice together. They also carry sunflower seed butter that I haven't tried, but now I shall.
