I have used a ricer to steam the sausage...works well, I add onion, whole mushrooms, baby carrots and 1/2 c of white rice and boullion...done in 1/2 hour.
You might try baking them.
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes. Turn sausages over and return to oven for about 40 minutes more or until the sausages are a beautiful color

It cooks up well in the crockpot and tastes great.

Good morning!

Quick question...I have sausage that I want to cook up - sweet italian sausages (like you would use on a hoagie roll with peppers, onions, and sauce).

Has anyone ever made this type of sausage in the crockpot? If so, are the results good?
