I'm not sure if you are looking for a free program or something that you would pay for. Also if you are looking for an app for your phone or tablet or if you want something to install on your computer.

There are quite a few different options available and many have a free trial to check them out first.

I personally haven't found a program to use on my computer that is even half as good as SparkPeople.

There are 2 free computer software programs that do not require you to be connected to the internet that I am aware of - one is DietPower (just okay) and Diet Organizer (haven't tried that one).

I use the apps on my cell phone- depending on your plan that could solve the issue.

I only have internet access with Comcast (highest speed they offer) and yes, they do cut it off, especially in the early evening.

I'd google your question as it seems a tad bold to ask this site to recommend another site. Anyhow, Loseit! seems to have the function you want. It doesn't have near the many functions that SP has.

Sometimes I don't like to log on to the Internet. And sometimes Comcast doesn't let me log on to the Internet. I always think it is "Payback" because I discontinued or downgraded about all their services except Internet access. emoticon just kidding!

Can someone recommend an inexpensive offline software program similar to what SparkPeople has online?

I used to use MasterCook but I think it is now too expensive for what I really want. I don't think I would use that much, but I still would like something I could access and use offline.

Thanks in advance!
