I am answering in reference to what is and what is not vegetarian foods. There are many types of vegetarians. There are Vegans-no types of animal products-even honey. There are vegetarians that maintain a vegetarian diet with the addition of fish and seafood.--a pescatarian--with the addition of chicken--pollotarian. with the addition of eggs ovo vegetarians. But what all of these have in common is that a vegetarian diet is maintained with the addition of only these foods. The toughest one, to maintain would be the Vegan, in my opinion. Wow-no milk products, cheese has to be of the soy variety. Veggies all the way.

Check out diabetic recipes. GENERALLY, they are lower in carbs. The reason being a diabetic's insulin intake depends on the amount of carbs eaten.

Trying to find some high protein recipes with low carbs &/or low calories and there were at least 3 fish, a shrimp, a meatloaf and a couple chicken recipes that escaped the filtering system. Kind of disappointing when you have to factor-out that many of your searched for recipes. emoticon
