imitation is a form of flattery.

look at it this way....you found something really nice....the manicurist thought is was a great idea...and now she is going to make someone else happy by sharing it with others.

"what if other ppl copied your nail art."
What exactly are you concerned about?
That the original site will cause problems for your manicurist for copying their design, or that other people will have nails that look like yours?

If it's online it is in the public domain so you don't own it, however if it was something you designed yourself, I don't know that I would be keen unless I were given some form of financial 'reward'

I've been in that situation with clothing. I designed something for my daughter and I and made it up. A woman who was a dress designer and made/sold the clothing for a living, copied it and sold the garments (quite a few) for quite a bit each. I wasn't impressed with that at all.

I say let others enjoy the design you fell in love with. You probably have good taste!!!

I don't get my nails done, but if I were in your place, I might not like it if a LOT of people started showing up with something you were hoping was different and unique. (That said, if it's online, then it's out there for public consumption anyway).

I think it is fine. You must have good taste if they think others will like it.

Technically, neither one of you owns that design. So, I say you have zero reason to be upset.

What if you found a nice pattern for nail art and you brought it to your manicurist to paint on your own nails; and the manicurist enters the pattern into her library in order to use it as an option for other clients.

You might argue that it's already on pinterest or the internet in general, so it's public anyway. But you are the one who found it and what if other ppl copied your nail art.

What do you think?
