Personally, I don't use them but I know they are good to help people get started on the path towards better nutrition. I have gotten pretty good about making healthy meals and having good snacks prepped to help alleviate overeating on the bad stuff.
I used the SparkPeople-generated meal plans when I first started my weight loss efforts. For me, it was an easier way to get into the meal planning routine AND to stick with it. I also knew how to plan meals; but, seldom did it. So using the meal plans helped get me into that routine and it also motivated me to try some different foods. Then I knew I was staying within the recommended nutrition ranges. I typically used them for lunch and dinner; but, went on my own for breakfast. As I became successful with them, I stopped using them although I still turn them on every once in a while just to get some new meal ideas.
Whether you use the generated plans or not, the key to success is planning and tracking everything to help you stay within your ranges.
Wishing you all the best!

I am debating whether to use the meal plan provided in nutrition. I don't know if it will help me lose better or not. I want to lose about 2 lbs a week or more if it naturally comes off. What are your experiences?
