I note the comment about using the Chili to flavour the chicken. Most of my 'pan-fried' chicken I lightly sprinkle Lemon Pepper on it. No Calories and big on flavour without overtaking the chicken. I do this with fish, too, as well as when I have Avocado on Toast or Cottage Cheese on Toast.
To Banker Chuck: Absolutely lack of portion control, lol . I suddenly became very hungry. I think its because I skipped breakfast. But I just kept having more and more snack foods at night. On the other hand I was less hungry the next morning.
To MLAN613: Thank you. Yes, This was an unusual day for me. The icecream was an impulse. The chili was to give flavor to the chicken breast I was cooking.( should have used tbbq sauce & spices. The Pasta Roni was because thats what was left in my kitchen. lol. You are right, I need to have more vegetables. (Always worried if fresh veggies are safe vs.cooking. but cooking may inactivate vitamins?
Is this a typical day's menu or an unusual day? I ask because it looks like you're eating a lot processed packaged foods (Hormel canned Chili, Pasta Roni) and dessert. These types of foods are usually high in sodium and low in nutritional value.
Raw versus cooked doesn't necessarily change the calories. However, it looks like you didn't eat any fruits or vegetables. 5 to 9 servings of fruits are vegetables are recommended to ensure you're getting plenty of fiber and the healthy nutrients they provide. A serving is 3 ounces or 85 grams. Getting to this amount may take a bit of time. Can you work on adding more servings of tasty fruits and vegetables?
July 19, 2019. Total Calories including snack binge was 3056
Here is the breakdown: The Hormel chili was 540 Kcal. That was the highest calorie food. It would have been better to use some sauce instead for the chicken breast I was cooking.. Also, the ice cream was 500 Kcal. It was an impulse buy. pasta Roni was 775 Kcal. ! without ice cream, chili, and pasta roni it would have been 1775 kcal less ! OR 1300 Kcal Total for the day! whats common to Pasta Roni, Ice Cream, and Hormel Chili? I dont know. Is Raw / cooked food less calories? (also less tasty) I dont know. maybe buy spices ?
