I knew about the shaving myth. I tried that and didn't like the results.

I am grateful that the hair on my face is blond, but I still remove it. It bothers me.

Some people do. Everyone's skin is different.

I do require painkillers. Maybe some don't, but I do. The skin on my face is extremely sensitive.

I burn easily in the sun. I have to use cleansers for sensitive skin. Otherwise I can get chemical burns. Once I used a grapefruit cleanser and it looked like I had a mild sunburn.

If I get an eyebrow wax from someone who doesn't know what they are doing. It causes a host of problems.

My box of Nair says, Pain Free. So I am not the only one.

Maybe some aren't as sensitive, but I am.

Danny is right. Waxing and plucking should not require painkillers at all. Waxing doesn't hurt; it's more of a quick sting. You get the lovely cooling gel and it's fine.

Whoa no no no, painkillers are supposed to be taken only when extremely necessary... plucking your facial hair definitely doesn't count as "extremely necessary". Long term use of pain killers can cause liver damage, and in the case of ibuprofen, it can also increase the risk of heart failure...

Waxing your upper lip doesn't hurt that much lol come on, guys... but well, if it really is that unbearable, many women are choosing to shave their faces nowadays. Shaving is supposed to have some benefits because well, when you shave you're also gently exfoliating your skin... so yea, it removes dead skin and makes your makeup look better because by removing the "peach fuzz"... I guess you could try that. Hair doesn't grow back thicker, btw, that's a myth.

So what I do about facial hair.

Use Nair for face to deal with most of it.
Take an ibuprofen, thirty minutes before I plan to pluck. (Don't take ibuprofen if you have reasons you cannot. Acetaminophen may work, too.
Then I pluck.

Plucking isn't really that painful.

I think that's an awesome suggestion, Mandie !

The OP has mentioned how she will go visit her uncle at an elder care facility on the weekends. Since she is already there and may even know many of the staff, why not if she can do some volunteer work.

No one would be expecting her to do any cleaning. She could go into the break room and just chat with some of the other residents. Talk to some of her uncle's friends. Some times, it's just nice to chit chat.

If the OP were to ask me what she could do to become healthier inside and out

I would say, find a charity and promote it. I know, I know she is too busy. Except all that time and energy spent online being envious of others. Could be plugged into a charity.

Shameless plug for my blog down there. I am using my social media presence to bring attention to Wigs for Kids! Growing out my hair for a good cause. Even though with my baby fine hair. Long, unlayered and unhighlighted hair isn't a very flattering look. But it will all be worth it when I get to pose with my ponytail.

If the OP were to ask me if there was one thing they could do that would help them be a healthier person inside and out, I would suggest quitting instagram, FB, etc...

Get off social media and read more books. a person will gain more from reading a book than anything any influencer on instagram can post.

I wish we could like posts. There are some good posts here.

I regularly browse pinterest and twitter. They have the posts where all you have to do is drink this drink. Or take that pill. They claim that you can lose 50 pounds in two months.

I hate those posts. They are lies. I wish that Pinterest and other social media platforms would crack down on the lies. Just like they cracked down on the Pro Ana and Pro Mia posts.

"The thing is if any one else works out and doesn't eat junk for a week, she's fitting into a smaller size but as for me? I'm still the same size!"

I agree with Danny. That's just not true. it's what the grocery store health rags want everyone to believe. I've glanced through Women's World. the head lines always read, lose 10 pounds in 10 days or I lost 2 dress sizes in a week with X workout.

Whenever you see a claim like that, some where on the page in VERY small letters is a note that says,"results not typical", paid endorsement. You can't believe the hype, because it's just that, hype to promote the product be it a slimming tea, weight loss smoothie, new workout, whatever.

Stop expecting miracles to happen in a week. the harsh reality of weight loss is that it takes longer than a week.

Ughhhh!!! that's SO not true!! You know what? I'm a size 00, I have a 23-inch waist. I was overweight not that long ago... I *know* I'm technically skinny right now, but still, most days when I look in the mirror all I see is fat. I've struggled with my weight since I was 12. I watch what I eat all the time, I try to eat healthy not only to maintain my weight but also to have healthy looking skin...
However, I've met a lot of (usually overweight) people who choose to ignore all that hard work and effort and just assume that I'm just naturally skinny and that I can eat whatever I want and not gain a single pound. Basically people like you, who think everyone else has it sooo easy. It's quite upsetting, tbh.

*Sigh* Anyway, using face cream and eye cream is a good start, I guess... but I definitely wouldn't consider that "effort" since it's still less than the bare minimum, IMO. But what do I know? You don't really seem to be looking for advice anyway, so you do you emoticon

What is working out, using eye cream and face cream, and trying not to eat, if not "effort"? The thing is if any one else works out and doesn't eat junk for a week, she's fitting into a smaller size but as for me? I'm still the same size!

"Do you live in Beverly Hills ? "

No, but the way some women look around here, you'd think so. I live in the middle of nowhere where the median income is $40,000 a year.

"Let's talk make up. "

I know can be amazing.

"What other fruit and veggies will you eat ?"

Bananas and apples sometimes. I'm not a veggies person. I hate celery and carrots.

here's the picture. I'm a hair smaller now. There's another wedding on July 13th. Ugh. I refuse to buy ANYTHING because I spent so much on my sister's wedding. But I also REFUSE to look like crap on the internet again.

"She beats on herself because she isn't a size 0-2 like everyone she sees around her. Aren't beautiful people all that size ? According to her posts, she can wear a size 8-10 pants, that hardly makes her morbidly obese. Yet, she talks about her body as if she were, (tree trunks for legs she once said). "

It's hard for me to deal with my body. I compare it to what it used to be. My 27 inch waist is long gone. The only way my weight would be acceptable would be if I was full term pregnant. It's so distressing.

Archimedisii, I vaguely remember when she posted a picture. I thought she looked good.

Lacoyta, there are lots of products at Target and Walmart. Available for a lady with frizzy unruly hair. Girl with Curves wrote a blog on what uses a few years back. I believe it was products you could get from Walmart.

Abby Duggar the new Duggar daughter in law also talked about her hair care routine in the Official Duggar Fan Blog. Also products that could be purchased at Walmart.

I used to get perms and all I know is comb your hair with a wide toothed comb. Only when is wet. Use a leave in conditioner, for curly hair. Don't touch after it is dry.

Before you exclaim. I bet your hair is perfect. It's not. It is baby fine and thin. I can use products, but there isn't much I can really do to fix it. So I just work with what I got. Because being envious of people with better hair. Gets me no where

I do really agree with you, Meow

I just want lacoyta to love herself. Just the way she is. Never seeing a picture of her. I am sure she is way too hard on herself.

Or that loving yourself and being positive. Doesn't mean giving you're giving up on yourself. Or you're giving up the posibilty of improving.

I don't think anyone has to go into debt or buy designer clothes to look good. I buy knock offs from Costco and Amazon.

I have seen Instagram celebrities advertising for hair and makeup artists and photographers. Looking great and pulling in sponsors is their job. So they will do whatever it takes to get a leg up. Some of them even buy followers.

You don't need to go into debt to look put together... guys, wth? I honestly don't get why you guys insist on saying that looking "put together" is this... like... fantasy... unachievable thing. And I see it every time on Lacoyta's posts. I don't think that's a healthy approach at all.

You guys have said it yourselves, makeup does wonders... and there are lots of VERY affordable makeup brands. You literally just have to wake up 15 minutes earlier to apply some makeup, maybe some extra 15 minutes to do your hair. You just have to wear some clean, wrinkle-free clothes and that's it. That's all you need to look put together... You don't know how to do your hair or makeup? There are over a million tutorials online!! No excuses.

In one of your previous threads, Lacoyta, you mentioned you wanted to look cute for some wedding but didn't want to wear uncomfortable shoes or something. That's kind of the problem, you don't really want to get out of your comfort zone... No one wakes up looking put together, it takes time and effort... but I mean like, literally no more than 1 hour so anyone can do it...

Mainly, I buy the greens, forget about them and they rot.

We know you love grape tomatoes and loathe kale. sweet potatoes can be made into yummy salads. What other fruit and veggies will you eat ? I bought a huge bunch of collard greens for my salads this week. There must be some green veggies you enjoy.

"I want to be more like those many many beautiful thin women in my town. Flawless, put together. My hair is always frizzy, I'm overweight, I never have it together. In fact once a cashier said my wallet was messy. I've been very self conscious of it since (and I think that cashier should be fired if she thinks judging customers is okay). No one would say that to the women who look like fashion bloggers in my town."

Do you live in Beverly Hills ? The last place where I saw a woman that I thought was really put together was in Saks. I was there shopping for a dress. I didn't stay long. I decided I was way out of my pay grade. LOL

Mind you, if you look put together in Saks, it means you have a lot of money to spend on looking good. Have you considered that the reason these women you see look put together is because they spend a lot of money and time perfecting their looks ? Maybe they've gone into debt to do it. Many people will spend more than they have just to keep up appearances. You don't fall out of bed looking like that. not even Giselle Bunchen.

Let's talk make up.

How about Tyra Banks. I think we can all agree, she's gorgeous ! You know, without the makeup, she doesn't look any different than a lot of women you walk past.

And just to show you how powerful make up can be...

I am sure you are right. I just have a flair for exaggeration. A failing of mine.

I imagine that the bloggers with millions of followers do reap the benefits. Nothing is wrong with that, they worked hard to get those many followers.

I have aunts and cousins who are experts with makeup and hair. They always look perfect and put together. It takes them two to three hours everyday. Every day.

One hour for makeup and one to two hours depending on what they do with their hair

Even though they are beautiful and perfect on the outside. They are beautiful on the inside. If they had to choose between inner and outer beauty. I am sure they would choose inner beauty.

I mean... that's not entirely true... the great majority of fashion bloggers, influencers, beauty gurus, etc. don't have their hair and makeup done by professionals. They put a lot of effort and time and money into their appearance. Most of them worked really hard to be where they are so I don't think it's fair to say that.

Fashion bloggers are styled. Have their hair and makeup done by professionals. Then they are photographed by professionals. Who take hundreds to thousands of pictures. Then choose the ten or so that turned out.

In other words. It's fantasy and unnatainable to the average Joanne.

There are a few natural beauties, but eventually beauty fades. It always does. You have to keep up a facade. You have to start having procedures to hang on to youth and beauty.

"How often to you eat an entire pint of grape tomatoes at one sitting ? "

Regularly-it's my favorite thing to snack on that's not junk food. And since they are easy to carry around in plastic container, I love having them at work.

I shouldn't be eating that much. When I was at a 27 inch waist I ate 1000 or less calories a day. My family has really slow metabolisms. It's a miracle I'm not fatter.

Even though they can carry pathogens, vomit, feces, and urine aren't really considered regulated waste so anyone can clean that up... If they had to seal the door with biohazard warning tape and wear those suits then it was definitely something else.

So yea... kinda gross...

I honestly can't be sure.

I only know what I was told by a nurse in the ED. She told me not to use that bathroom. Someone has made a mess of that bathroom. Then after that I noticed she put biohazard tape on the
door. Until someone came to clean it.

In Maryland hospital janitors do clean up vomit, feces and urine. I remember being with my dad and some poor man threw up all over the phlebotomist. She called out for someone to call the janitor. A special hospital unit may clean up blood?

My guess is someone had a burst ulcer or something bloody in that bathroom.

It wouldn't be a job for me. I am getting queezy just thinking about it.

Janitors don't deal with that kind of biohazardous waste, the people you saw with the suits were probably from a professional biohazard cleaning company. A friend of mine owns a company like that... he was recently looking for an additional "restoration technician" to join his team and he was offering $18-21/h, which is more than the average janitor salary here but... I mean, considering you have to deal with crime scenes cleanup, suicide cleanups, moldy houses, etc on a daily basis. I don't think it's worth it. It's definitely not for everyone.

That is a reason why it is important to measure and track.

Everyone is busy. I am sure that you feel whacked when you get home. So maybe plan your meals and track in the morning before you go to work?

I know that you feel like perfect people never get judged. I was in the checkout line at the grocery store. Reading the headlines of the tabloids.

I was just thinking. Do you have a stomach of iron? You could always be a janitor at the hospital. I am sure that would pay a lot. You already work in the evenings, but you may have to work overnight. I don't know how they handle scheduling?

I also mention stomach of iron. Once I was with my mom while she was in the emergency department. Something happened in the bathroom that caused them to seal the door with red bio hazard tape. Then when the janitors did go in. They were covered. From head to toe. Looked like hazmat suits.

Maybe you could be one of those people that wipes down a doctors office, in between patients?

Also you would either wear scrubs or they would provide you with a uniform. You can get plain blue/ green scrubs from Walmart for $5 a piece.

"Unless there is something you're not sharing?"

I forgot my near daily 8 oz of kefir and the 200-500 calories I end up consuming when I get home. It'll be crackers, and/or another sweet potato or whatever. 500 calories is the absolute worst.

Keffir is fine. More nutritionists are recommending that people get more probiotic foods.

How often to you eat an entire pint of grape tomatoes at one sitting ? You could make a pint of grape tomatoes last longer if they were part of a salad. okay, you don't like kale. have you tried baby kale ? baby spinach ? spring mix ? a head of romaine is usually around $1.50 or less.

There are a thousand possible recipes for a salad that are simple to make, nutritious and delicious.

Just take the one I posted.

baby spinach
slices of cuke
shreds of carrot
hummus
light dressing

What's in my lunch salad ?

green cabbage
kolhrabi
carrots
parsley
cherry/grape tomatoes
3 olives (yes, I counted)
half can of yellow fin tuna - olive oil
chopped almonds/walnuts
small piece of spanokopita (spinach pie)
I make my own dijon dressing using TJ's dijon mustard

I love eating salads !

What do you have against salads ?

How do you feel about chicken and beef? If you don't like them. There are plant based proteins. They are tricky and can be more expensive. But mock meats can be yummy, too. Trader Joe's will let you sample anything. Aldi is owned by the same family. Maybe they will, too? I do know Aldi has an extremely liberal return policy.

I also agree about adding more fruit and vegetables. If you like tumeric. Sprinkle some tumeric on your vegetables. You may also like curry, za'atar or paprika.

Also have you had a physical? With a blood test? Mention your concerns to your doctor.

breakfast - yogurt w/chia
Lunch bread with peanut butter. Then I microwaved a sweet potato
Dinner (at work) a pint of grape tomatoes 5 mandarins and 14 almonds

Just as an observation and do take anything I say with a grain of salt, but this may be the reason you end up snacking on the junk. The meals you're eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner are not as filling or nutritious as they could be.

Take breakfast, one simple thing you can do to increase calories and fiber would be to eat some of the frozen fruit with your yogurt. Maybe have a slice of toast with peanut butter. You can't be that pressed for time that you can't make a slice of toast. Avocado toast is pretty easy. Buy an avocado once in a while. they are filling and nutritious.

Eating pieces of fresh fruit for snacks during the day will also keep you full. I eat bananas, pears, apples, oranges, whatever is on sale. I eat 2-3 pieces of fruit a day.

Make a salad. The one I posted is simple and delicious. it's just spinach, slices of cuke, shredded carrots and hummus w/bread. I eat a salad every day, some days two salads. I love eating my veggies. If you ate more veggies, you'd like them too.

Your diet doesn't seem very substantial. You have a lot of breakfast food and snacks.

You have a very taxing and strenuous job.

It is my opinion. Now mind you, I am no expert. That you aren't eating enough. Your body is hanging on to excess weight, because you are starving it.

I honestly don't know how you are getting through your job without passing out?

Unless there is something you're not sharing?

I plugged what you said you ate into the Spark People nutrition calculator. Just guessing (not a mathematician or an expert) your total comes to about 900 calories. Most of us don't have such strenuous jobs, but couldn't function on so few calories.

This is why we should track our calories.

That salad looks delicious, Archimedesii

LACOYTA,

What did you eat for lunch and dinner yesterday ? If we knew what you ate, we could give you some recommendations for a healthier grocery list or ways to make those meals more healthy .

You don't like beans. How about hummus ? that's a good introduction to beans.

Here's a photo of a really tasty salad. I love hummus. I eat it regularly.

Another reason that you need to clean up your house.

What if you have a house fire? The power gets knocked out and you have to climb over multiple piles of stuff to get out.

If no one has been in those piles for at least six months. Or even years. You need to pool your money. Get a u haul. Buy some boxes. Load the boxes. Load the u haul. Drive it to Goodwill. Or whatever donation center. Trust me salvation army or goodwill won't judge you. They get dirty diapers and underwear mixed in with their donations.

My mom and dad had to do that when they wanted their basement remodeled. The basement had become a catch all. So they just took everything and gave it to Goodwill. The only item they remember is a weed whacker. Why my dad bought a weed whacker. When they live in a condominium the fee pays for landscaping services?

Jennifer Anniston who would be considered perfect. Was torn to shreds when Brad left her for Angle. That was even before social media. A lot of people would say things like, you can't break a marriage that isn't broken. They wanted to know what she did to drive Brad away.

That brings me to Angelina. Rich, privileged, charmed life and beautiful. She was her father's date to the Oscar's one year. I think she was nine. All the men she has married. Were either married to someone else. Or in a long term relationship. Before she started dating them.

Even though she seems to live a charmed life. That is really sad when you seek out emotionally unavailable men and break up their current relationship.

Even so called perfect people get judged. They just call them haters and move on. As Sheryl said, there are people who troll and are just looking for something to criticize.

Taylor Swift who is seemingly perfect in every way. Can't keep a relationship. Her song Trouble was turned into a goat meme.

Does she sit around and sulk. Nope, she writes a song about them and makes like a bajillion dollars from it.

Even when she was a teenager and not yet popular. When someone treated her poorly. She would think. Go ahead, treat me bad. I need material for a new song.

"I'd say you're eating more junk than you'd like to admit. mindless snacking adds up fast. "

Sounds like me

If you're spending about $30-$50 a week in groceries, it's time to figure out the percentage you spend on junk like potato chips, candy, cookies, etc. That money could easily be used to buy fresh fruit, veggies and healthy snacks you do like.

"What did you have for breakfast this morning ?"

Half a cup of Greek yogurt w/ chia seeds

Tomorrow, if you're eating Greek yogurt w/chia again, pair it with a fruit salad using the frozen blueberries, pineapple and strawberries. That's more filling if you need to fuel a busy morning at work.

What's for lunch ?

"See everyone? This is why I need to be perfect so people don't judge me! This is why I don't socialize because PEOPLE will never find me acceptable if it's not my lip, it'll just be something else "

Stop caring about people who don't care about you. The world is full of people who specialize in finding fault with others...most of them are more flawed than the people they criticize. But YOU keep focusing on your weaknesses instead of highlighting your good points. How about building on what you DO have going for you ? Your attitude drives your life, whether in a negative or a positive way. And more people are attracted to people who believe in themselves, or at least give it their best try.

I'm sorry but I reserve the right to judge anyone with a mustache.

It's not about facial hair, dear OP. It's about taking care of yourself, taking care of your personal appearance and hygiene. It's about SELF-RESPECT. If you have respect for yourself, you will naturally demand respect from others. You said it yourself- not having facial hair would make you look better (your words, not mine) yet you're not willing to endure 3-5 seconds of pain to remove it? why?

And don't tell me I don't have a "facial hair problem". I have a frickin' beard, woman!!!

I also hate beans. My mom and dad love them.

Kale belongs in the trash can.

You don't like the smell of boiled eggs.
You got fried eggs, scrambled eggs, poached, omelet or fritatta. Although I think an omelet or fritatta may be very similar. You can scramble your eggs and add a little milk. Dunk your bread in the eggs and make French Toast.

I shop at Aldi and as long as I stay out of the aisles where they keep their special buys. I can spend $80 a week for three people.

I buy,
Roast beef
Corned beef
Chicken thighs
Roast chicken
Salmon
Cod
Romaine
Tomatoes
English cucumber
Potatoes
Various frozen green vegetables
Seasonings
Rice
Pasta
Bread
Cheese

I don't usually buy anything unless it has multiple uses. I will substitute a lot of items. For an item that gives me more bang for my buck.

Birthdays and holidays are different.

That is my list for the whole month. I don't eat out much. On Sunday afternoon. Since after church we are starving and no one feels like cooking. Tomorrow we are going to Royal Farms because their fried chicken is the bomb dignity. And one is opening practically next door.

Sometimes we have to get items from Harris Teeter. Aldi doesn't carry our brand of flour or baking powder. That's usually where we grab lunch on Sunday.

The hair is too short for tweezers, but as soon as I can get it. It's gone.

A good estitician can wax you and you won't even feel it.

Mash some frozen fruit and add it to the Peanut Butter or even yogurt for your sandwiches...or eat it just with a spoon!

Check for in season veggies now... its almost summer and the prices have dropped on Broccoli, cauliflower, fresh green beans. Even avocados were down to 88cents at my local Kroger!

Do your parents' have a yard of any kind that you can start a small garden in? even lettuce and spinach in a pot would help you and grow fine! Peas and cherry tomatoes can be done in hanging baskets. I know that seed might be a cost...but check with your local food bank or Master gardener's group for FREE seed. Ask at work for left over seed.. Any old pot will do...an old used plastic pail (dish or laundry soap--very well washed!!), with some nail holes in the bottom works just fine! You can also find pots at Habitat for Humanity stores for cheap.... Just about any soil you can find will work as well. The commercial potting stuff is great but $$$, so look for alternatives. Any construction projects nearby? Go talk with the manager to see if they care if you take a bucket home with you. Ask the Master Gardeners for help...ask any neighbors who have a yard/garden...

Keep looking for ways to change your circumstances for the better!! ;)

PS: about Senior Citizen Parents...yep totally understand!! My Dad was 89, and there were things still in the same place in the house from before my mom died 15 years ago. House Cleaning and Change were not his 'forte"! But if asked, he didn't object to me moving "some" things...just so he could get to them still. (Like he ever did that--LOL!) Patience is the proverbial trait ya need!!

Weekly I spend up to $30-$50 in the grocery stores . don't know what I spend on junk here and there. My budget for the month is 200. I almost never go over and usually have some left . For may I had about $35 left that went to my dental work. All budget categories are less to pay for dentistry

"Why don't you like veggies ? You do go out of your way to avoid them. "

Peas and beans smell bad to me, and I don't like hothouse cucumbers (farm grown is fine). I hate kale."

Here's what I have for fruit/veggies for this week. And I didn't pay full price at the supermarket. I shop at different places to get the best deals.

green cabbage
red cabbage
kolhrabi
cherry tomatoes
grape tomatoes
carrots
English cuke
jalapeno peppers
parsley
mini avocados from TJs

oranges
bananas
pears
apples
cherries (I splurged)

What I buy each week can vary depending on what's on sale, what's in season or what's discounted because the produce may be a little bruised.

I am down to my last apple and banana. Apples are not only great for snacks, you can cook them down into homemade apple sauce as well as slice them up into salads.

Not including the money you're putting aside for your dental work, how much money do you spend on groceries each week and include the money you spend at the vending machine at work.

I used to have a hair under my chin that I didn't notice until it got quite long. after that I would look in the mirror, hold a compact mirror in one hand and get it with the tweezers. Thankfully it eventually stopped coming in.

I basically have the same things except I have bread now. I can't buy much because I'm saving for some dental work.

I am trying turmeric on fruit. That’s intriguing. Think I’d add black pepper to get the benefits.

I use hot peppers on mine, either as a product like Grace’s/Tabasco/local stuff hot sauce, or as a powder.

"Do you have a blender of some kind?"
Nope. A main reason I don't cook. All recipes have phrases like "in a blender" or "in a food processor"

You don't need a blender or food processor to make delicious meals. They are convenient tools you could use, but don't need. All any good cook needs is a sharp knife and cutting board.

What do you have for groceries now ? Any fresh fruit or veggies ? At some point, you're going to have to reconcile yourself to the notion that if you want to lose weight that you need to learn to eat more servings of fruit and veggies. Fresh if possible, but frozen or canned work too.

Why don't you like veggies ? You do go out of your way to avoid them.

Oh and I love the peanut sauce idea. I hadn't thought of that. I love a good spicy peanut sauce with rice or noodles.

With your groceries, I’d make quinoa with cubed steamed sweet potatoes, chopped almonds and peanut sauce.
My easy nut sauce (I use all sorts depending on affordability) is a dollop of the nutbutter, water and hot sauce.
I’ll add ginger (fresh) and garlic, along with a spice mix like Garam masala, a Thai blend or even five spice. I like mine thin, and heated.

Who does the cooking in your home ? If it's your mother, what sort of meals does she make ? Do you eat her meals or make your own ?

In past, I remember you mentioning that you had a hard time figuring out what to make for breakfast. Since you have Kashi Go Lean, some days you eat cereal. Since you buy frozen fruit, you can top the cereal with frozen fruit or mix it into yogurt.

Does your mother buy eggs ? eggs are cheap and versatile. You can make breakfast, lunch and dinner using eggs. Is there a reason you can't eat eggs ?

I would get some protein to eat with the quinoa. I like chicken. A beef roast would seem expensive. One roast would make several servings. You could also slice it and make sandwiches.

I also like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Or you could thaw the frozen fruit and put that on your peanut butter sandwich.

You could eat the fruit and peanut butter. Or the fruit with the almonds.

Potatoes and sweet potatoes are good for carbohydrates. They go well with a protein.

Get some green vegetables. You can buy them frozen. Check the label. Some frozen veggies add salt and sugar.

It's not like I'm sitting around with a Freddie Mercury mustache! Shaving is near pointless and Nair only removes about 50% Waxing sounds painful and laser is so expensive.

"I'm just sayin - I wouldn't be friends with someone who has bad hygiene. "

Clearly you don't have a facial hair problem or you'd understand. Good for you.

Look. All I know from this and your other posts is that:
-You don't clean your house ever
-You think that removing your facial hair takes too much time.

What does that say about your personality?

I'm just sayin - I wouldn't be friends with someone who has bad hygiene.

"I definitely want to see what's in your fridge after you or your family goes grocery shopping tomorrow."

Bread is on the list, almonds potatoes, grape tomatoes, more popcorn (almost out)

"Here's what I'd make."
Thank you.

"Do you have a blender of some kind?"
Nope. A main reason I don't cook. All recipes have phrases like "in a blender" or "in a food processor"

"Question - you don't have any pasta ? rice ? bread ? cans of beans ? tuna ? "

I don't eat pasta. No one eats rice much here. I only eat wheat bread and finished that. I don't eat beans or fish (fish just smells super bad to me)

Where everyone shares your interest and you're all gloriously weird. Attending church is free and a lot of modern community churches have a come just as you are, dress code. If you decide to go. You should be greeted no less than five times."

The main problem is I work evenings and need the weekend to get stuff done.

"After all these years you still haven't cleaned your house? Bruh... That may be the reason people don't want to be around you. Just a thought."

Over 10 years ago it was clutter. Then my brother (a pack rat) died 10 years ago and his stuff moved into our home, we made some progress on it then my uncle went to a nursing home 5 years ago. And guess where his stuff went? Yeah. We're working on it. So, do you just hang out with your friends on Better Homes & Gardens photo shoots?

I definitely want to see what's in your fridge after you or your family goes grocery shopping tomorrow. For the moment, I'll work with what you've got.

"Can you tell me what you have for food at home ? "
We shop on Monday so I don't have much:
Mandarins
Sweet potatoes
Grape Tomatoes
Kashi go lean
yogurt
Chunky Peanut butter
Plain popcorn
Almonds
Frozen strawberries
Frozen Pineapple
Frozen blueberries
quinoa

Here's what I'd make.

a yogurt parfait - Find a nice tall glass. Place a layer of yogurt at the bottom. next add a layer of the Kashi Go Lean. Add a layer of blue berries. add a layer of yogurt. add a layer of Kashi. add a layer of strawberries or mandarins. add a layer of yogurt. top with chopped almonds.

Place some Kashi in a bowl and mix in 1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter, add milk or mix kashi/small amount of peanut butter in bowl and top with a dab of yogurt. use the yogurt instead of the milk. I've done that plenty of times.

Bake a sweet potato, top with a dab of plain yogurt and chopped almonds. You use the yogurt as a substitute for sour cream. the chopped almonds add some protein and crunch. You can pair that with some cooked quinoa.

chop up a couple of sweet potatoes into cubes. saute the cubes or bake them. boil the quinoa separately. mix the sauted sweet potatoes into the quinoa. You can also saute the chopped sweet potatoes with the grape tomatoes. Sauted grape tomatoes can be very tasty.

Do you have a blender of some kind ? If so, get some milk, add the yogurt, some almonds and a couple of tablespoons of the peanut butter. Blend. Peanut butter smoothie. Place mixture in the freezer for a couple of hours, peanut butter frozen yogurt.

Question - you don't have any pasta ? rice ? bread ? cans of beans ? tuna ? Your family must have some of these staples. Even if you went to a food pantry, you'd find pasta, rice, beans, bread and tuna.

"The main problem is I have trouble sticking with things and I see others achieving things with ease.So I get annoyed. They succeed and I'm repeatedly starting over. It takes a toll on you. "

I can assure you, it took me YEARS to achieve my goal of losing weight and it was not done with ease. How did I achieve my goals ? I worked hard. Ask anyone here, they'll tell you the same thing. None of this came easy. We all had to work to achieve success. it didn't just happen. We made it happen.

There is a reason why I said to go back and read the previous threads. That will give you a bit of insight. We have been trying to help and giving advice for years.

My post was an angry gut reaction. I shouldn't have posted out of anger. It is just that all of us are trying to help and not judge, subtly or otherwise. That is why I got so upset.

My tablet won't recognize your screen name and corrects it to goodness knows what.

I do agree, she judges herself harshly. From a perceived notion of what she thinks everyone must think of her. Which people are probably worrying about themselves and how they are perceived.

Since I’ve been called out, but not by name, I will speak out.

No, I haven’t gone back and read all of the OP’s threads. I read this one.

No one had answered the question.
People who read a lot of this person’s posts continued a discussion from other threads.

So I stated what I was seeing. Some subtle judgement, and as I said, it seemed unknowingly.

I’m also seeing the OP judge themselves, and it seems to be based on perceptions of others, and I think, self created pressure.

In the not quite words from Frozen, let that *#’@% go.

We are who we are, and we have to make ourselves a good version of us, outside AND inside.
Respect and acceptance of who you are in this moment, while making improvements to who you want to be, goes a long way.
And those changes you see as without effort, OP?
There’s lots of effort. It just might not be visible.
We never have all the information. It’s impossible.

Wake up every day knowing you make the decision to begin your journey anew.

This choice in this moment defines now.
What is your now?
