I am much more frugal right now - saving for a new roof, so if I don’t need it and can make do with what I have...then no new clothes🙂

I don't have much success when I go looking for the clothes I need to buy, and most of my most successful purchases have been impulse buys - often in a sale and never very expensive.

I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Probably not. I've been through my clothes several times, whittling down the excess. (Thank you, Marie Kondo). I would only buy something if it "sparked joy", went with things already in my closet, and was on sale/ within my budget-- all the things a previous poster mentioned when talking about her skirt. Bonus points if it's a perfect replacement for something I've kept and been wearing, not because I truly like it but because it fits and "it'll do".

I try to avoid impulse buying when it comes to clothes.

If I am at Burlington or Ross Dress for Less. And something is just too adorable. I will buy it. I was at Burlington a few weeks ago and found this swishy royal blue skirt. Royal blue is my favorite color. It will go with several of the blouses already in my closet. Did I mention it was $10.

Yes I bought it. I would have regretted it otherwise.

Uhmm, yea, maybe I would. Only if it's *extremely* cute, though, and high quality. I mean... *technically* you only need a few pair of jeans and a few tops to survive, right? So it's kinda hard to define how many clothes are enough... fashion is definitely more about wants than needs. I don't usually buy clothes on impulse... I'm a big fan of "capsule wardrobes" so I like to keep things simple but the way we dress affect our attitude and confidence so... I don't know, I think it's important to invest thought, time, energy, and money into your wardrobe

I'm guilty of buying clothes on a whim...But I have to add, that I did most my shopping sprees when I had the money to spend. Now on a smaller budget, I use a lot more restraint buying unnecessary things. Impulse buying is dangerous

I do and I own way to many clothes.

I have gotten better about it. I try not to buy anything that I don't absolutely love. It has to go with a few things already in my closet.

So if I see an item. I wait. If I cannot get it out of my head. I go back. If it is still there. Then I get it and usually it's on clearance

I buy clothing that fits and can wear immediately. I will not buy a pair of pants or dress in a smaller size (no matter how cute or fashionable) in hopes that I can lose weight to wear them later. That is a waste of money and a waste of the clothing.

As I lost weight, I bought clothing as needed. Clothes that I no longer fit because they are too big are donated to charity. Clothes that are too small are also donated.

I would, if I liked it better than everything else in my closet.
IF I bought it, I have to get rid of something I already have. My husband and I are a one-in-one-out couple. If something comes into the house (not just clothes either!), something has to go out.

Nope. I shop only when I have a need. I have to be careful with my money as I have some big bills including a mortgage payment, student loans, and a car payment. Plus, the upkeep for those items and myself. I need to eat and such.

No - I NEVER buy clothes unless I NEED them. I am on a very limited income and so as long as I have clothes to wear, including some 'good' (as opposed to fancy/flash) ones, I don't buy them. Most of my "new' clothes I bought when I went to Canada 3 years ago. A lot of the clothes I wear are a lot older, as in A LOT older.

I would encourage you to learn to enjoy looking at cuteness but leaving it at that.

enough clothes? Say you are window shopping and you see something cute, would you get it even if you don't technically need it?
