I try to be prepared with my own snacks however on the occasion that I don't have I will try and buy the least damaging because I know it would be empty cards and I will be hungry again soon.

I would say, buy the leggings instead of the unhealthy snacks.

I also vote for clothes over snacks. You could get more use out of a cute pair of leggings.

For you the snacks would be one moment on the lips. Then a bad report at dialysis because you have retained to much water.

I vote clothes or makeup. Something to lift your spirits without guilt.

Choosing clothes over unhealthy snacks is always a wise decision lol. That's great.

The snacks I'm eyeing are salted egg coated corn flakes and fried surimi strips. Both are oily, and high is LDL cholesterol and sodium. So, no, I am not getting them, they are not healthy and not worth the asking price!

I'd rather save the money to buy a new pair of leggings! 3 bottles will cost RM80, a new pair of leggings from Uniqlo will cost RM79. If I eat most of the 3 bottles, which I would, I don't trust my portion control, I might not even fit into my clothes!

Yes, I would. But only if they're snacks you can only find during CNY season. Otherwise, I don't see the point. I'd probably get the 7 bottles, keep one and give the rest to family or friends...
I don't know how big the "bottles" are but if you don't trust your portion control skills maybe you should get just 1 and share it with your family.

Do the snacks fit into your renal diet plan? If yes, go for it. If not, stay away. A bargain is no bargain if it impedes your health.

If you like the way the snacks are packed, maybe you can find similarly shaped empty contains and pack your own. Sometimes, eating healthy is more fun if you can make it fun.

Someone gave me this helpful tip: Pack your own favorite snacks. That way you'll not be caught hungry and you'll know exactly what you're eating and the calories you're getting. Plan your snack so that you get at least 20 grams of protein along with your goodies, and maybe a fruit serving to take care of your sweet tooth, if you've got that problem. Make sure you pack some water for hydration.

Think of what, other than food, is interesting about the New Year's festival and focus on that. Move around freely (this will help you to sneak in some exercise!). Living is about so many things.

All things are possible.

What does your dietitian say? These things would not be good for your chronic health condition at all. But it is up to you........in the end.

Hi, it is CNY (Chinese New Year) season currently and it is a big festive season here in Malaysia.

Everywhere, vendors are still selling snacks in bottles, hoping to cash in!

My question is : is it worth the price to buy some snacks when it will all just end up expanding your waistline! And the asking prices isn't cheap either. They range from RM20 to RM28 per bottle! RM80 if you buy 3 bottles! One bottle free if you buy 6 bottles, that's 7 bottles.

Yikes! What would you do with so many bottles of snacks sitting around your house?! Eat them, only to regret it later?

That's why I am resisting the urge to buy them. Yes, they are yummy, but not worth the price and the calories!
