Since I'm doing the cooking, I know I will have at least some great veggies and some decent turkey to enjoy! I'll be making some of the traditional stuff also: dressing, gravy, yams w orange sauce, etc... and choosing a small portion of those. The Plate Method keeps it in perspective...!! And, I won't be having a whole houseful of Christmas treats around for long....I simply have cut back this year.

No I can not, I have about 10 Christmas suppers, 5 lunches, 2 brunches in December. A lot related to government agency's where I have to go to make a impression & get food, gifts & gift cards. I can not afford not to go. Tonight I went to a Christmas church supper & got a $25.00 Tim Hortons card, Christmas day I get a ride to a free Christmas church supper at lunch time, tomorrow night my family's Christmas supper, tomorrow morning a Christmas brunch. No Christmas supper December 25th. I will be alone. Also new years eve day brunch. Birthday events regarding food in January, it is January 12, but events all month, towards end of January I will get back on track.

I have pleurisy, 2 types of anemia, macrocytic anemia, Iron deficiency anemia, from blood transfusions with wrong antibodies, causes blood to replace daily instead of 100 days, chronic pneumonia, pleurisy, chronic kidney disease, a partially collapsed lung, low blood pressure & blood clots in both lungs for 3 years. Now formed scar tissue.I am 56 years old. I had cervical cancer 6 years ago, no signs last 4 years as well. I have new blood clots now,2019.I am on P.S.T. time zone.

I am going to enjoy the delights of the season in small portions.

After all I only get green bean casserole and struesel topped caramel apple pie (homemade) once or twice a year.
