I hit goal in June 2014 and have been below it ever since.
2. Do you think you’ll be happy at your goal, or will you also need to figure out how much further you need to go to get to a place that’s comfortable for you?
I thought it would be easy to stop the weight loss and maintain at the selected goal which was a bit higher than the weight carried for decades in my early adult years. I thought that being older, I'd naturally carry more weight. Nope.
My body was more than happy to continue releasing weight and, ironically, the last couple of falls I've struggled to prevent the weight from dipping any further.
I've also experienced some inflammatory flares since reaching goal with upward weight trends. But, I seem to be able to turn them around successfully. It can take months. But, the body seems to naturally right itself once the offending foods or other forces have been identified and removed.
Since reaching goal in June 2014, the weight has naturally fluctuated over a roughly 15 lb. range. I consider this a success. The midpoint of that range marks a sustained weight loss of 90 lbs.
With four-and-a-half years of maintenance under my belt, I continue to learn. The journey is ever evolving.

I started at 383 (01/14/2016), had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass on 07/05/2016, My ultimate goal is 143 and I'm at 268 now so 125 pounds to go. My mini goals are to lose 100 pounds (done), get under 200 (not done), be half my original weight at 191.5 (not done), 200 pounds lost at 183 (not done), my weight at graduation (in 1977!) of 165, then my ultimate goal of 143 and I will have lost 240 pounds... I'm saving my pennies and vacation days at work for a total body lift, arms, legs, putting "the girls" back up where they belong, and perhaps a face lift too. There's a lot of work in my future, but I am sooo much further than I was last year and the year before!

I had to look that up on my SparkPage, and use a calculator to figure it out. I try not to think about it every day, because that makes things too stressful. I like to think about what I have accomplished. I have lost about twenty pounds, and I'm very proud of myself! I am looking forward to losing 25 pounds, and am six pounds to my goal. I am 53 pounds to my goal of being at my ideal weight of 115 pounds. Mini-goals help me lose weight better than keeping track of the entire amount. You might think about using mini-goals as well.
Spunky Ducky Yes, you can. I have lost and regained the same ten pounds so many times. But the fact that you have succeeded tells you you can do it. Believe in yourself and do all the things that worked before and imagine yourself thinner...........it's a beautiful thing. I now have 13 pounds to goal, and I know I can do it.
I'm fluctuating up and down within 5-8% of my goal weight....so close, and certainly healthier than when I had started my Journey! At one time I weighed almost 170...got diagnosed with pre-diabetes, and haven't been above 150 in the last decade. With arthritis coming on...my doctor said to lose more...so I'm working on getting down to 132 again. right now...about 8lbs to go.

Last December I decided to get serious about losing weight, and am 40 pounds down so far! It occurred to me today, I only have 15 more pounds to go until I hit the original goal I set for myself. Will I be happy staying at the goal weight? I’m not sure. I just figured I’ll know if I’m ready to maintain when I get there, or if I’ll want to do more work.
So I wanted to know, where is everyone else? Do you think you’ll be happy at your goal, or will you also need to figure out how much further you need to go to get to a place that’s comfortable for you?
