If you use your own Polar HRM to track your exercise, you can enter whatever exercise it was on the fitness tab by clicking on the "enter your own exercise",which is right under the blue "search" button. You'll be able to name the exercise and enter the time and calories burned.
You can set your fitness tracker to adjust your nutrition tracker in the settings or you can set it to not connect (in which case it will use your weekly goal to calculate the additional calories burned). No one will force you to eat back the calories if you don't want to, but the more active you are and the closer to goal you are the more important it becomes to properly fuel your body. When you have a lot of weight to lose, the numbers are inflated and it's less important. But as you get to the last thirty or forty pounds the math starts to become more accurate and you have to find the balance that works for you.

Hi, I'm new here it's my second day using the app. If I burn a certain amount of calories like 500-600 is it mandatory that I eat food to make up for those? Also, is there a way I can create my own custom exercise and put in my own calories burned because I use a Polar heart rate monitor and Polar watch. Thanks for your help!
