Love retirement!

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Phil 2:3-4.

It depends on how it is going on any given day.

Retired now, but I really did enjoy my job(s)! I worked in a major University Medical Center laboratory...primarily doing lab testing, but also some research, computer and administrative duties... constantly changing through the years. I also worked in our family businesses for 10+ years, helping my husband run a Fishing Resort and a Small Aircraft Flight school....(I was able to take leave of absences for the Resort season).

No regrets!!

EOWYN,

How would you feel about your job (any job), if you had to do it full time, 5 to 6 days a week ?

I've been laid off twice and know I can be laid off again, so I am always grateful to be employed.

Do I love my job ? I really like the company that I work for. They place a value on their employees that other companies I've worked for have not. There were jobs where I dreaded going to work. I only went because like everyone else, I had bills that needed to be paid. When I worked those jobs, I had my hobbies to keep me sane.

I loved my job....I found the work interesting and fun. I worked in Info Technology.
Problem solving, creativity, design, and brain storming.
The hardest part of the job was dealing with egos, but that is an issue everywhere.

My job is just ......OK. I’m in the health profession & I at one point was naive & truly thought that I could help people, however in reality I have learned ....it is all about insurance & making money. It’s not the way it should be. But I do know that I can still take care of people & make a difference. Some days are really tough & some days are really rewarding.

Currently, I work full time in a call center and I hate it. However, as a single woman, I can't quit because I need the insurance benefits and paychecks of course.

I do have a part time at a local theater. It's fun, except for the working almost every Saturday evening part. I wish I could work this job full time but my hourly wage would need to double.

Do you really enjoy your job(s) or is it just something you do to get an income to pay the bills?

As for me, I don't really love my job, it's just something I have to do to earn money. Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily hate my job, but I don't really love it either. But it could be worse, at least I don't detest my job but it's not something I do for pleasure either.

What about you? How do you feel about your job(s)?
