Hi everyone!
I am back... had lost over 40 pounds using SparkPeople several years ago. Gained about 20 back but leveled off and maintained for years... Fast forward to 2017. Started losing weight without trying (that is a first for me, lol), then came crushing fatigue, then dizziness, nausea, perpetual tan and a wicked craving for olives. Sound weird or sound familiar? Last summer, I found myself down to 135lbs (from 178) and felt so ill I didn't want to eat or do anything. Doctor could not figure out what was going on. Then she discovered I was quite suddenly hypothyroid and she put me on Synthroid.

A few weeks later, I decided to go to urgent care because I was dizzier than usual and even felt dizzy when I was sitting down (usually only felt that way upon standing). My BP was 79/52 and my kidneys had failed due to extreme dehydration. Thank goodness I ended up hospitalized and thank goodness my attending doctor figured it out pretty quickly. He ordered an ATCH stim test and the results confirmed my Addison's disease. That was in July 2017. By February 2018, I had gained back all the weight that I had lost! UGH!

So I'm back to Sparking it up with you good people :) and am wondering... does anyone else here have Addison's or SAI? It's tough to lose weight with hypothyroidism but try it when you're on steroids for Addison's -- it's even harder, lol! Looking to connect with others who have this rare disease and for advice on what is working for you, diet-wise.

Fall seven times, stand up eight.
