Some songs are just stellar for picking up the tempo, I am going to make a play list of these. Some off the top of my head that are must-haves (and yes my tastes are all over the map):
D.M.S.R. or 1999 from Prince.
Outkast - Hey Ya
Runaway - Ed Sheeran has a great vibe
Please Don't Stop The Music - Rihanna is a great tempo.
Can't Stop The Music - Justin Timberlake
Lose Yourself - Eminem
Ace of Base - Dancer in a Daydream
Clean Bandit - Rather Be
Boogie Oogie - Brooke Valentine
Smooth - Santana feat. Rob Thomas
Black Eyed Peas - Shut up (or others ;))
K-os - Crabbukkit.
David Guetta - The World is Mine - or - Love is Gone.
Shurwayne Winchester - Don't Stop - or - Make it Yours.
Dance Tonite - Lucy Pearl.
Tony Toni Tone - Lets Get Down.
Get Lucky - Daft Punk w Pharrell Williams.
Saltnpepa - Push It.
Freaks - The Creeps, Get on the dancefloor
Stevie Wonder - Superstition or Higher Ground
Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk
Inner Ninja - Classified.
Bob Sinclair - World Hold On - or Rock This Party - or - Love Generation.

I should have prefaced that by saying I used to DJ on a cruiseship so 'off the top of my head' clearly rolls a handful. emoticon There's a bunch of others that are my faves but I'm blanking on them at the moment, may add some more tis week.

If you're looking for good rock, you wont go wrong with Green Day. I used a bunch of their tunes when I was teaching spinning.

Another great group is Mumford and Sons. Watch some of their videos on youtube. Their music has a great beat.

What's funny is that when I take my weekly boxing classes, I'm used to working out to Reggae or Afro Pop. It's music with a good beat for when you're beating on a heavy bag. LOL.
