stayed home on Thanksgiving and did NOT eat or prepare any typical Thanksgiving food. We had baked spaghetti squash for dinner.
stayed home Friday & Saturday (except for a trip to the park for some exercise)
I did go out after church on Sunday. The shoe store was kind of crowded (I went there for some Angel Tree gifts), but the checkout line wasn't bad at all.
I also went to the wholesale club; not bad. The checkout was a little backed up.
I do very little Christmas shopping. Very few children or teens in our families now. We stopped the gift exchange almost 10 years ago. We do the same as Arch, buy for people who may not have anything at all under their tree.
The most handicapped person in the world is a negative thinker; a person who has the skills, abilities, talents and tools, yet chooses not to use them. ~Heather Whitestone
Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in. ~Leonard Cohen
I had to go to Costco on Saturday. It wasn't too bad.
Wanted to wait until Monday, but the water people are going to be tearing up my street. So that they can try to fix the leak, again. Would be nice if they could have fixed right the first (or 20th) time
I really don't participate in any of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Small Business Saturday madness as I am fairly paycheck to paycheck and really can't afford to go nuts. Thankfully, I guess, I really don't have to buy anything for anyone.
I think if I was looking for something like a new TV around this time of year, I would save for a bit tin the weeks leading up to it. I know some of the deals are good,
The one thing I am doing is signing up for a few races which open for registration on or around Black Friday. They have the fees start $5 or $10 cheaper than post Black Friday.

Who was out shopping at 5am Friday morning ? Did you snag a deal ? I didn't go out until later that morning. I was still recovering from the turkey hangover.
I found some nice toys at TJ Maxx/Marshalls that were reasonably priced. All the kids in my family are all teens or adults. So, what I've been doing these past few years is buying toys for my "Toys for Tots" donation. I like knowing my toy made some child's Christmas a little happier.
For gifts, I tend to give gift cards or even tickets to a show.
Did anyone buy a 60" TV ? Isn't that what everyone waits in line for at 5am ? LOL
