Fighting for the upstairs TV on Sunday nights at 6pm to watch The Hardy boys Nancy Drew Mysteries series. For just like every pre-teen and early Teen I had the Hots for Shaun Cassidy and wishing I was "his girl" while wishing I had the finesse and grace Pamela Sue Martin had to solve those crimes.
I remember also Happy Days and Arthur Fonzerelli on Tuesday Nights. Followed by Laverne and Shirley. I also Remember Shirley's stuff black Cat that her part time boyfriend Carmine gave her named "Boo-Boo Kitty" Remember that one y'all?
I also remember having this toy called the Lemon Twist. It was shape like a Lemon and tied to a plastic cord and you would put it around your ankle and you had to try to hop over the lemon. Great Cardiovascular exercise.
But my Favorite thing to remember about the past is this Barbie Doll I had back in 1974 or '75 called "Growing up Skipper". It was Barbie's Little Sister.
Those are just some of the fun things I remember having back in the 70s as a kid. Oh Yea!! I forgot to mention I use to LOVE to watch Robin Williams in Mork and Minday. And watch Morgan Freeman play Easy Reader in the original Electric Company Show.
God I can go on and on and on on this topic. So I will zip it for now Peace, Di

I can remember PARTY LINES, with telephones that had to be cranked before you could make a call! My grandma had a wall phone, so before you cranked it, you could listen to a conversation & try to guess which one of the other 7 people who shared your line it was...

2017 and I am back again... up and down the same 5 lbs, this time on the higher side of 200, depressing since I had stayed just under 200 for almost a year. Slim is where I wanted to be in 201 & 2011! Never happened, plateaued for a long time and gave up... got off track, but never left, so am back on track again!!! Make 2012 my year! So far, did finally lose 25 lbs. over the summer, but have found about 11 of it so far, it didn't hide g

"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."

Andi Take Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, all that I have and possess. Thou hast given all to me. To Thee, O lord, I return it. All is Thine, dispose of it wholly according to Thy will. Give me Thy love and thy grace, for this is sufficient for me. Ignatius Loyola

When I got in trouble at school and would get a paddle shot at school and then when you got home your parents gave you what for instead of making excuses for you...it's no wonder teachers now drink on fridays....
