Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. Each day, i have a non-calorie, non-fitness goal to clean something that isn't in my normal day-to-day routine. Last night, I pulled out all of my DD's art from preschool and organized it in one large plastic bin.
Whew! What a relief to have that all in one place...

To try and not be a "Negative Nancy"! I find myself talking to acquaintances and not saying anything nice, good, happy or uplifting--sometimes just down right depressing and negative!!! My goal is to say something nice and pleasing and if I can't, then just hush!
To make my husband's two weeks home (starting today) as pleasant and upbeat as possible, to smile at him lots, to laugh often, to remember that life's little speedbumps may slow me down a bit but they do NOT have to deter me.

Andi, what a GREAT goal! I'm wishing you well!!

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it's a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they're terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
