Cookies and Cream Klondike Bar and Letter Carrier Food Drive
I woke up feeling very, very, very stiff. I had hoped to do 12K steps today. I took a walk this morning for something over 5K. Just before I left the house, I turned just a little and gave myself a slight groin pull. I moved very carefully a... Read more
Burnt Out, Nervous and Amazed
I woke up this morning feeling really lousy in a nonspecific way. I called in sick, which I did not want to do, but I just knew had I dragged in, I would have wasted the time at work. I missed out on the overtime, but I guess that falls into t... Read more
Balance is Elusive
I got over 7K steps today without working at it. My knee is really sore, so I skipped the stairs and used the elevator. I chafe at this because this week is just gorgeous: clear sky, light breeze and cool enough to walk at lunch. I savor eve... Read more
A month or so ago, on the one day challenge team, the suggestion was to create a visual representation of either pounds lost or of pound to be lost. I decided to do both. I gathered up a bunch of those paperclips that are covered in colorful p... Read more
Came home to find BF not home. That means dinner was not ready. I wasn't hungry, so that was ok for a while. Hours later, I made something quickly. Not the most healthy thing, but not the worst (no junk in my house). Feeling guilty for bein... Read more
Awards, Spreading the Spark and Loving the SP Community
I received several SP trophies today. The 15 pounder and the 3 month Sparkversary are ones I added. I had not really thought about logging on every day, accumulating pints and was stunned to see I'd racked up 1000 minutes! ME! I had so many sl... Read more
Who Says "Diet" Food Can't Be Yummy?
I have been so tired today, just a slug. My plan of a long walk did not happen and neither did much else. My shoulder pain spread to most of my back and hurt all day. Now, nearly lights out, it feels a bit better. I'm frustrated that every t... Read more
45 Seconds, Rubber Legs and Sparking at the Grocery Store
Today started with such great intentions. I was going to go to work so I could study for my midterm in peace, then go to the little gym at work and work with weights. Then I was going to come home, grab BF and run errands, thus clearing the de... Read more
I Beat the Elevator and Other Friday Evening Musings
A good night's sleep did make a difference! I clicked off over 11300 steps today. I made sure I ate something every 2-3 hours and did not feel abnormally tired.
I ended the day within nutrition range except for being low in calcium and ach... Read more
Thank you, SparkFriends, for your comments on yesterday's blog.
Today was one of those days just full of irritations, nothing went smoothly and I was not in a good mood. Not much energy. Feeling overwhelmed in so many ways. I skipped t... Read more
Steps and Swirling Thoughts
I made sure I grabbed my pedometer on my way out the door today. Three short walks and lots of walking around at work and I made it to 11,090. Sixty minutes of moderate walking for 3.6 miles.
I'm still having trouble keeping the energy up... Read more
Forgot My Pedometer!
I was driving to work when I realized I had forgotten to pick up my pedometer for the day - first day I've done that since I got it. I almost turned around but decided to accept the challenge and see what I could do solo.
I can only guess ... Read more
What an Odd Day!
Obviously, 10K steps every day is too much for me. Scaling back. I will aim for 7K and be happy with 5K on my less active days. I expect there will be several days a week when I hit 10K or come very close. But I will work towards 10K a day. ... Read more
A First! (I may pay for this tomorrow!)
Thanks to all who commented on yesterday's blog!
I am not sure if I lost even an ounce or stayed the same as last week. Either way, the fact that I did not gain is a real win!
Today was a much different day! This morning, I saw a blog f... Read more

TOM Costs a Day
Absolutely no energy today despite intentions and lovely weather. Mr. Scale is not likely to be charitable tomorrow morning and neither will his partner, Ms. Tape-Measure. Just her name alone gives her airs beyond her station.
Whatever th... Read more
