Well I'm going to Egypt/Jordan April 10, 2008. I did NOT meet my goal but I'm going anyway. I'm not giving up on my goal but I've moved out the date from 2007 to the end of 2008. By the end of this year I will be at 180 and stand 6'1". I had two surgeries in the past four months and they have gotten me down. I need this trip for motivation. Wish me luck!

Wow! How exciting. Go and have a wonderful trip, enjoy your life. Stay on track as much as you can, and when you can't just make an adjustment along the way. Enjoy the moment. You know... I was with a friend the other day, we were driving to a workshop in Dallas, she had a Garmin. You know, a GPS device. Any how, when we would turn on the wrong road, it didn't yell at us or tell us we were failures, it just simply said, Re-calculating. So, go for it, you can always re-calculate!

Your trip sounds great and you deserve it! Don't ever give up!! We're headed to Germany in October 2008 to visit our son who is stationed there w the US Air Force. You can do this! You're on your way!!!

About a year ago, my appendix burst and I ended up w 3 surgeries over a period of 3 months. It sure laid me up, but I came back and you will too! Just persevere and you'll come thru just fine.

    All the best to ya!

    Great Job Shy!
You are doing a great job and motivate all of us to stay on track. Sometimes the biggest snare of failure is discouragement. Even if we don't reach our goals at a set time we need to stay focused on the goal. We just need to make adjustments and go on. You are an inspiration.
    Keep up the good work.
